Raj Palace - Hotel in Chennai - Chennai, India

Room is ok but whenever I visited here the Air-conditioning is very poor. When I asked about the low Ac they replied simply that it is centralised Air-conditioned and will get cool in one hour. Brake fast also offered as complimentary but poor varieties.

We gathered at the roof top, where we could notice lizards, rats etc. Being in the prime location, the hotel has to take some responsible steps to remove rats and lizards which is giving a bad dining experience. Not sure if it passes on us. The waiter in the roof top shows that much attitude as well, he has billed additionally (this was done with pen and not a computerised bill) and when we found out he didn't even have the courtesy to apologise. Finally, he told ok lets reduce it. The food was also average, veg balls was literally spoiled with foul smell.

I am writting this review from my room very disappointed with what happen, I was out shopping with my family when I got back the cleaners/ room service guys have gone inside my moms room without her permission cleaned it , she did not evan hang the room service - cleaning service tag. I was furies and requsted the manager to explain ,He said it was standard practice and was room service . This is totally un acceptable I highly not recommend this is our privacy is not protected

I had a wonderful time spending at this palace . I was so impressed by work ethics of staff. It's a welcoming environment and feels peace . I really love to visit again . Thank you so much for making my day

My kid 1st birthday event happened at Raj palace. The ambience, the hall and the food are good. Especially the food is really good and every guest was happy. We had nice photos taken with the background. Comparatively the cost per head is kind of better than other 3 star hotels. Would recommend this.

Photos look great but reality is far away from pictures.. Rooms are very small and smells bad breakfast is not good they don't even provide water my experience was very bad. Not recommended

Hotel was decent. But there were a few points I would like to highlight a few things, not just finding faults but things I observed. The hotel lobby had a pungent smell (felt more like as though a toilet was cleaned recently). As soon as I entered the my room felt an initial cigarette smell. No new additional bath towels were kept on the day of checkout. Hot water took a long time to kick in. The locker inside the room didn't work (didn't lock) after entering the initial pin. Nice of them to keep two complimentary water bottles. Service at the front restaurant is slow but the taste of the food was good. The hotel staff if they have any informal meetings can keep their chit chat in a separate room than speaking loudly in the lobby when guests are having their food. Overall a good place to stay but they could improve on a few aspects mentioned above, especially the smell in the front/lobby area.

A good Hotel for stay foe either pleasure or Business. Very nice attitude of Hotel Staff. Will stay again if opportunity comes.
