Puttappana Hotel(Idly Hotel) - Vegetarian restaurant in Malavalli - Mandya, India

We visited this place for breakfast based on YouTube video recommendation. Idly was very soft and you get 5 per plate. Rice bath was tasty. Chutney and vada was good too. If visiting here in large group, please call and confirm your orders. It's crowded in the morning due to locals. This place is perfect village eatery and must try.

It was cozy place. Price were reasonable For breakfast there was Idli+chutney+butter, masala Vada and rice bath And the price and taste was good. I liked the Vada and butter than idli Don't expect much items It closes by noon and reopens at evening There are other hotel in the same name, running by other relatives

Very soft and hot idly , red chatni was awesome , couldn't stop eating , it was almost more than 10 idli's per person . Must try !! ,,

Brief about : Puttappa was a farmer of village koregala. He is one of the finest idly maker in and around the Mallavalli district. His hotel has been generating idly's for more than 50 yrs now. After his expiry, his son is taking care of the hotel. Even today many visits this place early in the morning and have there breakfast. Everyday it opens early morning 5.30 to 9 am only.

Super amazing with butter vada idly chutney haha

Delicious and soft authentic idli with red chutney and masala vada. The location on the google shows the place 2km behind.

Milk white Idlies as soft as a sponge. It comes along with two chutneys ( You need to ask for the thicker version which is reserved only for parcels ) They serve hot and crispy masal vadas which are as good as it can get. Located in a beautiful small village close to Malavalli, it's a blissful experience reaching here and eating piping hot idly and vada. Upon recommendation from a friend, travelled all the way from Chennai just to savour this. Unadulterated - FOOD and PEOPLE!
