This avian haven near the Puttenahalli bus depot is a testament to the harmonious coexistence of nature and urban life. The migratory birds, gracefully navigating the skies and nesting on the islands, create a captivating spectacle. It's heartening to witness bird enthusiasts, armed with zoom lenses, capturing these ephemeral moments, fostering a deeper appreciation for our feathered friends. The surrounding greenery, abundant with diverse plants and trees, enhances the ecological balance, providing a refreshing escape from the urban hustle. The mud pathway, though challenging during the rainy season, adds an authentic touch, reminding us of the raw beauty of nature. The thoughtful inclusion of benches and designated bird-watching areas invites visitors to immerse themselves in the tranquil beauty of the surroundings. The park's accessibility for morning and evening walks allows people to connect with nature amidst their busy lives, promoting a healthier lifestyle. The mention of an uninterrupted sunset view is a delightful addition, enticing nature enthusiasts to experience the serene transition from day to night. However, the caution about encountering snakes after 6 pm serves as a necessary reminder of the delicate balance between human recreation and the natural habitat. In conclusion, this sanctuary stands as a testament to the importance of preserving urban green spaces. It not only provides a haven for migratory birds but also offers a refuge for city dwellers seeking solace in the midst of nature. Such spaces are invaluable in fostering environmental awareness and cultivating a sense of responsibility toward our planet.
One of the finest birding experiences in a crowded city! A place worth visiting for everyone.
Lake initiative was good but currently no silt removed and water level is very low , Bird watchers can have view of nestings of darters and grey herons and can get a nice view of peacocks
Home to many migrating birds, this lake is located next to Puttenahalli bus depot. It is opened for morning and evening walks. There are islands in between the lake where the birds have nested themselves and it is a sight to watch them fly by. You often see many bird photographers around with their zoom lens to capture bird pics. There are lots of plants and trees around. There is a mud pathway which other wise is a mess during rainy season. There are benches, bird watching areas to indulge oneself in the beauty of nature Update: if you also want to enjoy an uninterrupted sunset view, then head over here. Also make sure to leave the park by or before 6pm to not have to encounter snake hehe
Nice lake with many migratory birds
Definitely a good place with forest like feel. More development can be done to cleanup the lake and improve the pathway for walking.
