Punjabi Tadka Veg Restaurant - Featured Reviews (125)
If you are a north indian, looking for Desi food in Leh. This is the sole place to look forward to. The pranthas and everything are just yummm. Rates are also reasonable and per the Leh culture they allow you to pack and take back whatever you couldnt eat.
While visiting Leh we ate in this restaurant twice. The service was very welcoming and attentive to our requests and questions. We ate Palak paneer, Dal tadka, and Mix veg. All dishes were very good and we enjoyed eating them very much.
No nonsense place for some good Punjabi food. Try the butter paneer masala. Rajma chawal wasn't bad either. Go here if you miss some North Indian food when you need a change from the local cuisine.
Dear traveller's,
If you want to have Desi Punjabi food in Leh, do visit Panjabi Tadka. Food they serve is always fresh, hot and laajawab.
At my first visit the staff was good, and the second time when I visited this place the behavioir of the staff changed, got over friendly and made us feel offended. As we were at leh to enjoy our time and dint want to get into an argument.
To all of us respect matters. Hence, this restaurant need to teach staff how to respect their customers and not make them feel disrespectful. No matter if the attire of the customer is tip-top or not. As we are just one of the tourist pasaing by it doesnt matter to them.
What I think, this is the only veg restaurant at mall raod, now, that doesnt mean staff should be allowed to disrrspect customers.
I rate this restaurant as a bias towards types of customer.
WORST FOOD !!!
I had ordered Dal Khichdi and I saw closely in it I found small black color insects in that. After showing these insects to main chef , he denied and said its Shahi jeera and talked rudely. Even they have written at the entry that customer suggestion and complains will be addressed but when you have some issue then they will get offended.
Don't visit this place if you are expecting good service ,good and hygienic food.
For 300 rupees you get a full meal of rice, bread, paneer, salad and dal. Everything was extremely good!
We ordered normal veg thali(INR 180). Sabzi and Dal or Rajma was a bit of higher side in spiciness. Place was nice and clean. Portion size was good enough for two of us but price is a bit on higher side. Overall good vegetarian option but can't have it regularly.
