Pune International Airport - International airport in Pune - Pune, India

Pune is indeed one of India's prominent cities. I've used Pune Airport multiple times. However, it's worth noting that the airport is situated quite a distance from the city, which can add to your travel time. The airport itself is relatively small, and its international connectivity is limited to major hubs. The arrival area is compact, with trolleys available for your convenience. There are two separate entry gates for different airlines, where you need to present your e-ticket printout and passport copy. Security at the airport is robust, and the facility is generally well-maintained. Pune Airport features a decent restaurant, although it can get crowded, especially when multiple flights are departing, which poses space challenges. The restaurant offers a variety of high-quality food options. On the downside, there are limited shopping stores at the airport. One notable advantage, however, is the relatively low traffic at Pune Airport.

One of the worst airport with overall bad management, minimal amenities, rude & sometimes unresponsive staff. It gets so crowded here during peak hours hence a lot of time is taken for baggage drop & security check in before you actually board your flight. However, arrival is considerably better managed than departure. One good thing that has come up recently - the Aeromall- with lots of eateries, stores & hassle-free cab pickup facilities. Pune is becoming a prominent IT hub with increased footfall & flights each year, the administration should take measures to improve the airport infrastructure & staff to support this.

Accessibility: The airport is conveniently located around 10 kilometers from the city center, making it easily accessible for travelers. There are various transportation options, including taxis, buses, and car rentals.Terminal Facilities: The airport has a modern terminal with facilities such as clean waiting areas, restaurants, shops, and free Wi-Fi. The terminal is relatively compact, making it easy to navigate.Staff and Service: The airport staff is generally courteous and helpful. Security procedures are efficient, and the check-in process is usually smooth.Cleanliness and Maintenance: Pune Airport is well-maintained and generally clean. The facilities are kept in good condition.Limited International Connectivity: While Pune Airport offers international flights, it primarily serves domestic destinations. For international travel, passengers often need to connect through larger Indian airports.Baggage Handling: Baggage handling is typically reliable, and there haven't been many reports of issues in this regard.Parking: The airport provides parking facilities, but they can sometimes get crowded during peak travel times.Overall, Pune Airport is a decent and convenient facility for domestic and some international travel. Travelers can expect a hassle-free experience, but keep in mind that it might not offer as many international options as larger airports in India.

It is an international airport but it is small and without good facilities. Getting to the airport is a problem in itself. One should keep in mind that the outlay of the airport is surrounded by Airforce Station, so the roads are narrower with heavy traffic. It is a disaster if flights get delayed due to bad weather given that the waiting areas are small and the eateries/franchise stalls are not up to the mark. My flight was delayed by over 6 hours, and before coming, I had looked up the food options. They said Haldirams was available, but it was not the original one inside. (Pictures attached). The announcement areas/facilities are a mess, too. One couldn't hear properly even. Arrivals are comparitively better than departures. AFMC is a little farther down the city from the airport, and so is the office zone.

Small airport as it shares the airport with the Indian Air Force. Long queues for the scanning. Don't bring your Coconut (which you might have received in Pooja at any point in Pune) in a cabin luggage bag and keeping it in the trolly bag else you will have to leave it at airport from safety purpose.

I used Pune airport for a domestic flight. Check in and security was quick and easy. The domestic departure lounge had some cafes and shops, but they were limited and quite pricey (180 rupees for a chai, 200 rupees for an instant coffee). There are areas in the departure lounge to charge your phone.

One of the International Airport in India. Artwork in the airport is attractive (Including Chatrapati Shivaji Statue). Shops are there for Foods and Snacks. Atmosphere is good. Facilities in the airport is good. Cabs available in the outside of the Airport to reach City. Prepaid Taxi also available.

*Arrival* Its a small airport and my experience when I arrived here was not so great. There are limited bay and our aircraft had to just wait for 10 mins before we get a stand allocated to us. Arrival area is cramped up. It took time to get the bags on luggage belt. For Uber/Ola, one have to walk to another building called Aeromall on level 2. The pick up zone was also very small and all people walking between the cars. The cabs waiting everywhere. People (security) and cab drivers having arguments, etc. Overall a very disappointing 1st impression. Will wait to see how my experience is while departing from here.
