This is an underrated hill which is just 6km from Tumkur city. Land mark is Maruthi school, Belgumba. There are no trek trails here but you can make one as we did. Though we couldn't make to the peak, it was really amazing finding the route to the peak. We reached 60% approximately and it took us 3 hours to make it just because there was no trail!
This will soon become a wonderful hotspot for sure. You can park your vehicle anywhere near the base (Actually there is starting point for this trek or Base or whatsoever). Locals said that there were bears in the woods, may be or may not be. I think may be because it was edge of the reserve forest.
Thi hill peak will be covered with fog in rainy season. You can see that in one of the photo below that I posted.
Thanks!
It's a moderate level trek. There is no exact trekking trail. Amazing view from peak
Trekking has to be done carefully,, there is no pre-defined path to follow which makes it interesting, view points are good, too much grass
Best place for day rides/ trips. There ia no actual name for this hill and no trails to trek. But not so difficult to trek either. Can be done in 3 to 4 hours up n down. Be aware that you go in group to be sure (Safety first). No water source and anything on top. No information is found for this place in google / youtube. So i will be the first person to upload video on this place. Subscribe to Adventure with VSS youtube channel to watch complete details of this place.
The place is very good for trek , there is no particular trail as such , but you can easily climb
There is actually nothing much to see. You can see some peacocks and the time we went there was a bit raining so there was so many peacocks. There is no trails that are existent there you have to make your own and the grasses are too tall and thick. The road to there is confusing and has offroad trails, it will be slippery if it rains. You cant climb all the way to top and honestly i dont even think that people go there.
Absolute adventure as we took a totally new route to trek from usual point. Make sure you have good experience have trekking before and keep water and some essentials along with you. Do speak to a local nearby and get confirmed if you are on the right path to reach at the start point. It will take about 2hrs to reach the top. We had an amazing experience as went on a weekday as expected except us no one was there. This place is not much popular amongst the tourists as devrayanadurga is nearby.
Nice place.i recommend you go through stairs .you feel better. And bring your water bottle there is no any general Stores
