The waterfall is tiny surrounded by a lot of cute cafes around. Shops along the way. There's a short climb to the top. Good views around the place if you climb down. Zip line above is good- you can bargain over the prices.

Panchpula, Dalhousie Shrouded by a green blanket of pine and Deodar trees and enfolding refreshing water streams, the picturesque Panchpula has always been one of the most favorite spots of tourists in Dalhousie. It is a nice picnic spot, where you can spend some time with your family and friends and enjoy the loveliness of exotic waterfalls and refreshing streams. Some of these streams even contain medicinal properties that are helpful in healing skin diseases. The Panchpula is a scenic place, which is surrounded by picturesque mountains and green valleys and is only three kilometers from the main city of Dalhousie. HighlightsThe weekend trip from Dalhousie to Panchpula is most popular among tourists, who make it a point to visit Satdhara springs on their way to Panchpula. The gushing sounds of the Satdhara springs leave a mesmerizing effect on the tourists. Another popular spot in Panchpula is the memorial monument, which was built to commemorate the revolutionary Sardar Ajit Singh. There are several streams connecting this place that makes this place look more beautiful and appealing. One can also find a restaurant, built by the tourism department of the state with the intent of serving tourists refreshments and beverages. There are many impressive waterfalls at Panchpula that looks best during the monsoon as everything around these falls buzzes with natural richness during the rainy season. Panchpula is also famous for many treks that originate here and leads to Dalhousie or other nearby destinations. Availability of water makes Panchpula the main source of drinking water, which is supplied to Dalhousie and other nearby towns. Everyone from adventure lovers to trekkers to photographers, love visiting this stunning destination which is surrounded by beauty. The best time to visit this wonderful spot is in summer and monsoon as the water gushes with full force during this season and the place looks its best.

Traditionally it is a combination of 5 pools that allow the different flora and fauna passes through these channels covered with concrete so as allow the tourists to move freely other than uneven hills slabs. There are many more activities that have been carried on like zibling, hanging bridges/ rope ways crossing etc.

Hoping to see and enjoy some natural beauty en route (while climbing up the steps) as well as at the waterfall, it turned out to be quite disappointing for me and my wife (both sr. citizens). The waterfall turned out to be a narrow stream of water. I didn't count, but there are more than 100 steps for sure. Both sides of the steps are totally commercialized with haphazard shacks (serving tea, snacks, etc) with scarce concern for the environment or the natural beauty of the area.

Waterfall is small than expected. You will find board written 5 min walk but mind it it's 10 minutes climb stairs and trekking not walking . And surrounding area is heavily commercialized loosing natural beauty.

If you are going to Dalhousie, then must visit the Panchpula waterfall. Beautiful waterfall, cold water and fun. On the way, you will find (almost all places in Dalhousie), people standing with rabbits and Australian Hamster. You can have picture with them for just Rs 20. It also has adventure games. Fee for each game is different. One can try these games as well.

I visited on weekdays, no crowd at that time, but on weekends it's become so crowded . A lot of eatery points are there. Lots of options for kids to play. 2 km from Gandhi Chowk.

The climb is a bit steep, but there are good eateries all slong the way and also local handlooms and handicrafts stalls.
