Palette Hill View Resort Vagamon - Resort hotel in Vagamon - Idukki, India

Horrible experience at this place. Like many have mentioned this is not a resort but rather a modified cheap hotel only. Rooms were not clean & stinking, bedsheets had stains, food was way below average and the staff were least courteous. For the price they charge, this is definitely not worth. Only positive was the pool. Many have posted 5/5 but they could be either paid reviews or by their own staff. No one in the right sense would give even a single star for this place, if they truly stayed here. We visited the place as a group and few had interacted with other guests as well - they too shared similar view on the resort & food. We even had instances where the restaurant staff served non veg in veg dishes and faced unapologetic staff and management. There are far better places around at much better prices, please do thorough check before you opt this place.

Not the best stay in our trip. This is not really a resort but a hotel. The location was good as it is located into the hills with magnificent views, but the rooms did not have view of the hills. The room did not smell great, neither was the linen very clean. Service was really poor, even after saying yes they do not respond. May be it's because it was overcrowded, so I can understand the poor service. Another drawback is, you need to have your own vehicle, otherwise the auto service provided by the hotel is expensive and not great. This should be good for local visitors not for people travelling as tourists. The breakfast was very below average and not at all valuable for the price we paid.

I recently stayed at this resort with my office colleagues, and I must say it was a regrettable experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived(lunch time),the resort staff failed to provide enough food for us, despite us informing them in advance about the exact number of people in our group. To make matters worse, the restaurant served us a dish that was supposed to be vegetarian but had pieces of chicken mixed in! This is a clear violation of basic dietary requirements and shows a blatant disregard for guest preferences. When we raised this concern with the staff, they simply shrugged it off without an apology or any attempt to make amends. The rooms were another letdown. They were not worth of the price. Overall, my experience at this resort was one I'd rather forget. I strongly advise anyone considering a stay here to think twice and explore other options in the area. This place falls far short of the standards you'd expect from a reputable resort.

We had a room with no ambiance. It resembled a ground floor apartment. The swimming pool was excellent, and we enjoyed it. The breakfast was satisfactory, but dinner was very disappointing, and it upset my stomach. None of the food items we ordered for dinner were good at all.

Our experience was good in the Hotel. It is located on a hill and view is really nice here. The manager, mr Vipin has upgraded our room as well, as we found the booked room was a little small for 3 people. Elderly people book on ground floor, as the hotel doesn't have any lift.

Very bad experience with the service and management. We went for a team trip and planned 1 night - 2 days stay. The rooms are not worth of heavy charges. The restaurant staffs were too arrogant and they do not know even the basics of hospitality. They mixed chicken in veg dishes and they responded "so what!!". Few of my team mates who are strict vegetarians were in uncomfortable situation due to this. Even they didn't apologized for the mistakes and our whole holidays got ruined. *Never ever opt this place if you want to have an enjoyable holiday with your dear ones*

Not worth 1 star even... I am dust allergic person, and the hotel room was so full of dust that the moment I entered the room I started sneezing. There was visible dust here and there, even on the telephone! Even there was a certain smell in the room for which we had to call for a room spray, which provided temporary relief only. The breakfast was flat ...not worth at least for a duplex room @ 3847. I stayed in cheaper hotels where they provided eggs with options, here they had only boiled eggs ! Waste of money staying in this hotel.

it's a nice property, but nothing to boast about, although decent. The rooms allocated to us were small, not like the ones shown in Agoda. The fun was unfortunately spoiled at the beginning itself. The room's fan regulator was not working and as per the staff (Mr. vipin) it could have been fixed quickly, but we didn't took effort to inform as we realised it late night and it was not feasible to ask the ladies and kids to make room for the technician @12.30 AM... I think they have other types of delux rooms as well. The ones shown on booking sites are different than the ones we got. We booked 3 delux rooms for 6 adults but actually had with kids as well, I didn't thought too much reg kids while booking since the rooms shown were pretty big. Although they were kind enough to consider only two kids as extra and discounted for one. but with the extra bed, the rooms was jam packed with no space to move. so moral of the story, be very careful while booking via other sites.
