Very nice place with a wonderful view of hill. This artificial dam is a part of Purulia Pumped Storage Project owned by Electricity Board of West Bengal Government. Due to it's high altitude, you can get an extraordinary view of the whole area full of greenery and hills from the upper dam. Try to visit during morning time. Take your time and click lots of pictures

A must visit place during the Ayodhya Hill trip in Purulia. It is a huge dam. But the interesting point is one side of the road has the dam and the other side has a beautiful view of purulia from the Ayodhya Hill Top. A very good place to enjoy the beauty of blue and green together. A few food carts are there for snacks. So you can make a stop there for refreshment.
Pretty good place to visit. This place is possible because of its geographical location and the engineering miracle. I will suggest try to visit in winter season but at that time it will be very crowded but if you dont want that come in summer avoid the day time visit after 4 pm Its a dam actually 2 dams 1 dam at the top of the hill and 1 at the bottom also some falls you can visit overall place is nice you can get a nice view from here it also has few picnic spots but no boating is availabel you cant swim here no drinking water supply.
One of the best places to visit if you are coming to Ayodhya hill top. I personally preferred to visit in the afternoon around 5, then you will be able to see the outstanding view of sunset with a wide open view. It was an awesome experience. Rodas are very nice over here. It usually takes 20 mins from Ayodhya Hill top to reach here. Neat and clean area. Please maintain the same. You can visit the lower dam from here which will take about 15-25 mins upon your driving skills.
It happens to be "The most popular" tourist destination of Ayodhya Pahar. The view from 495 meters above sea level from the upper dam will give you a scenic bliss. The clean water of the upper dam with the two colossal power houses of the hydel power project standing tall is a structural wonder. Although sunrise and sunset are the most prized sceneries of this spot, the view is heavenly all throughout the day.
One of the best places to visit if you are coming to Ayodhya hill top.

A wonderful sight of natural beauty... Around 7kms from Ayodhya hill top. A must visit place. The pathway is not so easy to reach to the downward side, be careful and not recommended for the elderly persons.

Excellent place to visit for those interested in knowing about hydro electric power generation as well as those looking for lush greenery. The upper dam has a beautiful view on both sides of the dam. There is a wide area to park vehicles at one end.
The location of the lodge is very beautiful. The staffs and the owner are very well welcoming. The food is also very homely. The only one thing has to be changed or rather better is the room condition. Otherwise it is one of the best place to stay du
