OYO Hotel Cocoa Tree - Featured Reviews (105)
Got room no.105 which was spacious as shown in the photos rest other rooms are small. Pros - Staff is helpful. - Budget stay. - Located at the main city. Many restaurants nearby. Cons - No hot water. Had to call multiple times for it. -Wifi was fixed only after asking multiple times. -Stairs are very narrow and steep. Difficult to carry luggage. Not recommended for elderly people. -No toiletries. Towel was provided after asking.
There is no lift... Small room... No drinking water..Bathroom average Through online booking please confirm if it is ok or not.I book this home stay through make my trip app when I reached here for check in they told me that they no booking confirmation received also told me they are new owners and they can't accept it..
Ideally the stay deserves two star or less...but due to the kind attitude and multiple requests from the hotel reception, I am giving it a three star rating. The following is my review of the stay. Cons: Many things are wrongly advertised on MMT like wifi, elevator etc. No wifi (I was told it is getting ready) No elevator. Not elderly or even middle age friendly. Ingress/Egress is only through a very steep flight of stairs. Very narrow too. No toiletries were provided. Towel and mineral water was provided only after multiple requests. No air conditioning. But you don't need it in munnar. Not easy to access by car. parking not available. The customer care by fabexpress is worse. They never pick up the phone. Was unable to contact the property to inform about late check in. The number provided in MMT is useless. But after stay they called me back to request for good ratings...!! Toilets and plumbing are very old dirty. Hot water is not that hot nevertheless it is available Bed is not comfortable and linens are dirty. Doors and locks are flimsy. Not advisable for couples. Bachelors or youngsters will be ok. Do not opt for meal plan. It is from a near by hotel (looked unhygienic to me, but taste is ok, not cheap though. also tea etc is not available there). And you need to go there to eat not serviced in room. (300 mts from ppty) No hot kettle or beverage making facilities in room. TV is at an awkward position and is not movable. The water in the toilet is milky in appearance. Doubt its cleanliness. Though the location is good, the property is difficult to find due to lack of signage. Pros: Attitude of reception staff. Location (close to main junction) They told it is a new venture and is bound to improve. So future travellers may add on my review with their own experience. Overall stay is OK as a solo traveler. But it is not VFM
Disappointed, not clean and tidy, unhygienic, no breakfast, no hot water, no drinking water, no towels soap etc provided, no WiFi, no room service, no parking area very narrow road to hotel. Top room No5 is very noise when it's raining. Narrow staircase is very difficult to climbing with any luggage. There's no lift. I canceled the booking after the inspection of the room.
Parking is at a narrow spot. Rooms are very tiny. No elevator so don't book if you have a senior member with you. But all that's still okay. What you can't forgive is how badly the Bathrooms STINK making it absolutely uninhabitable place. Worst experience.
Got a double room and was advertised as stylish and elegant. Room was poorly painted, wires hanging from the ceiling, dirty desk mirror and wardrobe. Room was also advertised as having A.C. but it was just a fan on the wall. In addition can't lock your room from the outside so you have to take your stuff with you!!! Don't be mislead by the pictures on the website! Was expecting a bit more considering how this place was advertised!
Situated at a very tight spot. Corner and at a very high altitude. Taking your cars inside the road for parking is a difficult procedure. No parking is provided. Rooms are well maintained though and are cheap too. We payed Rs2000 per night for 5 people.
If you get room in this hotel at reasonable price, then it is fine to book. Hotel area is very restricted, each floor has 1 or 2 rooms with total of 5 rooms in the hotel. No balcony and in some rooms no windows. Interior/ furniture makes room look good and spacious in the pics. Also, situation of property is in a squizzed lane. We had booked this via Oyo on viewing pictures and had been given rooms which didn't resemble the pictures. It took hard efforts to get rooms exchanged, which only was done the next day. It was a real disappointment and frustrating task. Some rooms which are decent and little spacious, pictures of that are only shared on internet. We were given the rooms which were too small for 2 people. Hotel authorities and online sites need to be transparent enough when they upload pictures of the property. It was not at all worth of what we were charged and shown in the pictures.
We had a wonderful stay at your hotel. The staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the attention to detail in maintaining the facilities. The on-
Very nice hotel with a wonderful view over the valley and tea plantations. The restaurant service may be a bit faster, but for the rest everything worked very well. The kind Rajan guided me and my husband for morning trekking and we also enjoyed the
Amazing view, clean rooms, very polite and helpful staff. The gym is small but decent (one multifunction machine, adjustable bench and dumbbells). The food is pretty expensive (buffet was 1000 rupees and a curry was generally 650 rupees for a smalli
Positives- Good food Polite staff Negatives- Pretty much everything else. Location- though it is situated in an accessible location, the approach road is highly damaged. Rooms- very old and poorly maintained. Linens were old and dusty They charged
The staff were absolutely amazing and made this visit so special. The food is almond all Indian but they helped me choose non- spicy. It was delicious. The views of the mountains and tea fields are breathtaking. The very best are the people who work
Lovely little place to have breakfast for 300 rupees after a long hard bus journey with little sleep. Very welcoming staff, allowed us to sit in the lounge and recharge. Breakfast was nice, loved the bhatura.
Great rooms with good views (prefer 3rd and 4th floor) Excellent Food ( cuisines from northern and southern India with veg and non-veg options) Staff is well mannered and courteous
The room was neat and clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. We stayed one night here. Staff boy carried our luggage and provided quick services.
Highly recommend this hotel. The manager and staff were very helpful and humble. The room was amazing. The location was perfect near to bus stop, Market, restaurants. Had a great time.
Our hike with Kanthasamy (Samy for short) was absolutely incredible! It began with a light trek through the tea plantation. Samy was so knowledgeable about the teas and the processing of the plants. After we moved further up, passing beautiful views
Breathtakingly beautiful place. It's a real paradise for those searching for a private spot for a quick getaway where we can indulge ourselves in a variety of adventures without much disturbance from the outside world. Special mention to Mr. Ali who
This review is a little late, but I just want to thank Mr. Kuberan for keeping our faith in humanity alive. It was an impromptu road trip to Munnar. My friend and I found Mr. Kuberan 's number on Google. He was crystal clear while sharing the detail
