OYO Chez Pondy - Hotel in Puducherry - Pondicherry, India

The place is located in a quiet lane. Not much noise. The service was good and the room was available at the right check-in time. All services were quick and appreciable. It is close to both Paradise beach and the rock beach, both at 6 km away. Shopping options are good here.

The photos on the Oyo rooms site were absolutely misleading. Except for the size of the room and the bathroom everything else was terrible. No room service was available. When we asked for spoons that too was not available. Bed and bathroom linen were dirty and stained. There was no water supply in bathrooms and they needed to switch on a motor to start the supply. For that too we needed to remind them multiple times When water supply was on taps and showers were either leaking or not working at all. There were 6 adults and 2 kids . Breakfast was provided for the adults but not the kids! Right outside the guest house is a drain that has a terrible stench As such, an avoidable place

Very shady place. Personally i dont like this place room size is ok but the quality is not good. Staff will always delay for service. Intercom not working, wifi not working and in breakfast u will get 3 idli without any coffee and tea , and it is mentioned you will get coffee or tea. You cant order anything from hotel because they not have even a small kitchen. Matrices are also very hard and linen you will se is burned with cigratee in some cases. So i just stay for 1 day because i was tired and cant change same day but i check out early.morning next day. Think twice before staying here, or if u get at very cheap rates

Nice rooms with very bad management, intercom did not work, breakfast was served after an hour of ordering, coffee 45 mind after ordering, floor was full of dust. Most of the TV channels we not subscribed. No AC remote inside. Need, blanket were nice.

We had booked a room for 3 and when we arrived there for the check in, all exhausted after a long journey, they asked us to leave because the room that was booked for us had been 'damaged' by the previous guests 'last night'. Now this should have been informed to us before we had arrived. Moreover, the staff was extremely unfriendly and acted as if there was no mistake made from their side. When I contacted the Oyo customer care to complain, the guy at the reception started increasing the TV's volume so that I find difficulty over the phone registering a complain. Eventually I was provided assistance by Oyo in getting another room. The hotel isn't even located as per the map. The locality isn't suited for tourists who are on a vacation in Pondy. There are many hotels in White Town, which should be considered as an option instead of this one. I have no clue why some people here are saying that it's near the beaches; it's like 4-5 Km from Rock beach, and some 11 Km from Paradise beach.

Pros: Nice location, balcony, breakfast was okay for the price. Issues: Water was not coming in the morning. Flush was not working, no drinking water provided, room not cleaned properly. No proper response to issues faced.

Very clean and comfortable rooms with all facilities... Good ventilation and spacious rooms.... Good location... Near to all beaches and even accessible to restaurants... Overall fine experience

Really a nice and safe place to stay. 2kms from bus stand and I love it. Please book the rooms online and you'll get a very good offers. Just loving to stay here.
