OYO 970 MNR Grand - Hotel in Chennai - Chennai, India

No service...only rooms..but too many restrictions

Room was very generous size for mum and I we had a double plenty of room for all our luggage to spill out! Comfy beds good blackout curtains. Despite being located right next to the lift was very quiet. Bathroom generous and nice and private. Located on a nice street close to all things easy to walk or catch the subway located away.

The hotel is a bit away from the main road, but not too far or inaccessible. The room I stayed in was small but clean. One of the few charging ports was non functional. Also, the charging ports are away from the bed. The bathroom latch was loose. Coffee was sent to my room on request. Breakfast was served in buffet style, albeit with two or three dishes, in the first floor. The manager was quite helpful and polite.

Location is great- accessible enough to be scoring on connectivity while isolated enough to be having a peaceful environment. Value for money, decent. The facility is an apartment converted into a hotel I suppose. Each of the rooms have a common space and if taking these rooms as a group, it would be having a good utility.

Our housekeeper made sure we didn't want for anything. Our room was spotless. She was very friendly and kind. Our waiter was so kind and thoughtful. We enjoyed talking to him at the restaurant. Food was great! Great location.

Room is good and room is little small but ok. Room is clean and little more clean necessary on bathroom. Both the bed lamp is broken and hanging. Meanwhile the old person seems the manager is rude and collected extra money without any bill to other customer and telling excuses. The door lock is broken while asking abt the safety he arrogantly told to check out. Such a shame thing from OYO. How will you allocate room with broken lock? Then what's the need of booking hotel? The person told we have cctv camera so go. Then here after OYO may please fix cctv camera instead of lock in door. Accept your mistake and try to solve else with staff like this you will lose your OYO customers.

The staff of MNR Grand staff (old man) talks without any sense and loud with their guests. He made us insult and uncomfortable stay. Even he wanted us to leave the OYO 10:30am Sharp without fail. Complementary Breakfast is outside and not allowed in the room. During self service of the breakfast he warned us to not waste the food but sound was horrible as a guest. No nearby shops are available. Both Wifi and AC is worst. The worst part was the MNR STAFF (OLD MAN) dialed my personal number repeatedly and asked the statement abuut the bad rating in such a way I can never expect by a oyo hotel. A small boy and small girl has been kept as staff those doesn't even learnt to communicate.

Rude hotel manager kicked us out due his problems with oyo I reached there at 25th Feb 2020 and checked in with my frnds. We had booked room till 2nd march Then after 3 days of stay when we get back at 28th night the hotel manager said he will not give the rooms to us. And he treated us like we were his slave. without any reasons he scolded us. And dint give any services that day (No towels No soaps and not even Water!!! When we asked the oyo support they changed our rooms to another hotel.. Beware of this hotel manager guy (as he said) Simply no respect no service The only thing he is good at it is raising his voice for no reasons
