the hotel is in a narrow road adjacent the metro station of the area. the service was ok. the room had a double bed with a dressing table, tv, ac, and lots of cabinets for storage of items. the bathroom was also good. it had geyser facility for hot water. the bathroom had naphthalene balls put all around to keep the cockroaches away. i had a short stay in the hotel but it went of well.
We went to meet our colleagues who stayed in this hotel but so rude behaviour of front office guy Tapan, even he refused to talk in English, Hindi and asked to talk in Tamil only. If you're running hotel so your guests will be from other states too. You have to be flexible. Very bad experience from this hotel. Never want to stay or suggest to anyone.
Everything is good apart from the parking facility. Need to park the car near Ekkaduthangal Metro and walk for 100mts. Rooms and AC are good. Overall it's good for the money.
I'm very glad to say that the hotel I stayed swarnam residency is one of the best accommodation you can ever find if you're visiting Chennai... I recently visited to their stay and unfortunately when I checked out, I left my gold ring accidentally at the room. I immediately contacted the hotel and said my issue. Mr. Charan the manager of the hotel promptly send his employees to look for the lost ring and returned it back to me. I really appreciate their honesty and trustworthiness. I recommend the hotel, if you're visiting Chennai.
