Disappointing Hotel Stay: Hygiene and Service Concerns Unaddressed! My recent stay at RKN Hotel in Pondicherry left much to be desired. I had high hopes for a comfortable and pleasant experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case. The first and most significant issue we encountered was the lack of cleanliness in our room. Upon arrival, we noticed a considerable amount of dust throughout the room. It was immediately clear that the cleaning standards were not up to par. This dust not only affected our overall comfort but also resulted in a throat infection during our stay. This was an unexpected and distressing consequence of our accommodation. We promptly reported the cleanliness issue to the hotel's management, but unfortunately, they took no action to address them. Despite prepaying for our rooms, we chose to switch hotels due to health concerns. Regrettably, the food served was below average and came on dirty dishes. If you're considering reserving a room here, please be cautious about your health, as cleanliness and hygiene seem to be lacking. Furthermore, the corridor had an unpleasant odor.

I could have given 5 star but the morning reception person of the hotel was very very rude who won't listen to anything, and would rudely reply "that's not my problem" to everything that you say however on contrary the night reception person were sweet and really helpful. They even helped us booking our tickets back to our town as we were facing language barriers they even changed our room twice at the time of check-in they also shifted the mini fridge to our changed room even provided us with an iron, it is for them and the room I gave 3 stars. Rest the hotel is near white town which is the prime location for all major attractions mostly. You can find all the essential items nearby. All this comes at a reasonable price. I believe the hotel can have more polite and professional staff just like the night reception person. (the reception person changes for night and morning).

This hotel was so terrible. That I checked in and saw the bad shape of the hotel and rooms and decided to leave it by sacrificing my Rs 11200 of booking amount. The ceiling paint was peeling the walls were so dirty. Also the bed was stinking . Also the reception was smelling like somebody pissed at that place. It's had a local bar and you can smell cigarettes everywhere in the hotel. And RKN HOTEL Has 4-5 branch or hotel in Pondicherry . Like rkn grand which is a better one but annyone who is unaware of that will fall trap in booking in rkn oyo . They are running a scam. And if you ask them to transfer them to an another branch they will not entertain and your whole booking money will be flushed in commode because you cannot take your family in such a filthy place. Also please don't do booking from agoda as there is service is pathetic. Their call center is in somewhere in Malaysia. So you won't be able to connect to agoda service agent. And on top of that I was also not able to cancel my booking from there app: agoda is also a scam.

Rooms are ok, not great... Basic facilities like bed with tables (two sides) , TV, electric kettle are given.. I'm not really happy with their service... We stayed for two nights, no room cleaning was done unless we asked for... Even though coffee sachets & milk powder sachets were given, we had to ask for the tea cups.. No complementary meal or breakfast was given, although price was unreasonably higher in weekends. No toiletries except a medimix mini soap was provided in the bathroom with one towel even if it was a double bedroom. Location is a plus. There is a lot of scope for improvement.. Bang in the middle of the city of Pondicherry bustling with commercial activities. Neatly maintained rooms, very good room service, good tasty food. But only 3-4 cars can be parked inside the compound. If city noise is not a thing that bothers you then this is a very good place worth its value for money. If u r looking for budget friendly then go for it.

The hotel and staff were not good enough. The breakfast is served in your room before 9 AM, and not that great tastewise. You will face parking issues if you are arriving late, as there is the facility to park 4-5 cars only, and evening those slots are taken by the Bar guest instead of the hotel guest, and you will be asked to park your car outside in the lane. There is always a kind of foul smell in the room all the time, and the basic amenities were also not provided. We were provided with 1 soap and 1 water bottle for 2 days stay. There is no kettle, tea, coffee, no locker facility. And this is when they were taking nearly 2500/- per night charges. There is no restaurant facility as such owned by the hotel it seems and your food will arrive from the so-called Bar and Restaurant, and they will ask you to pay then and there when the food arrives. Overall, our 2 days stay was not very pleasant. You will find a lot much better options in the vicinity of this hotel. Would not definitely recommend this.

A decent hotel to stay. Parking space is less but the gate keeper is such a wonderful guy. He helps us a lot. A polite and loving guy he is . Felt like he is not getting much appreciation from the hotel team thats why i mention about him here. Spacious room.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown pondicherry beach area They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at like 10am. We got to hotel super early and I didn't wanna wait. So this was a big plus. The sevice was exceptional as well. Would definitely send a friend there.I had a wonderful experience here. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staffs are very delightful and eager to help you across.
