The location of the hotel is quite deep inside the hills. Big cars can't go down. You have to walk a lot to get there. We faced problem because of it. Rest the rooms are okay. I loved the people of Himachal except the owner of this hotel.
Decent rooms for a good price. The food quality is good (though only ate there twice), the rooms are decent size and additionals are also provided. This being said the rooms were smelling of cigarettes so you may need to call for room service after check-in, may not be a case for others. There is a small walk up for getting to Cart Road and you may even find yourself lost a few pounds. It's a long way to Mall Road though, for it is the main hub of tourist visits. There is a small convenience-cum-general store on the walk to Cart Road which I'm really fond of and there was no face wash. Just only book here if you no available at Mall Road.
Hotel Tanwar regency which is located near durga mata temple, two stairs down near kanlog chowk provides a great experience for stay.
It has the great valley view and food provided by the hotel is very good.
The hotel is neat and clean and during winter you can enjoy the sunlight sitting in your room as doors and windows fitted with glass.
The staffs are also good and behavior of them is very good .
It gave us great pleasure to stay here.
However mall road is little bit far from here but the hotel provides room in economics prices.

The stay was not good at all. The owner does not know how to behave with the guests and does not speak to guests in most needed times. 1st they promised you that they will pick you up and drop you to mall road which is about 1.6 KM from hotel but the road is very inclined , then they deny that they will not pick you up or drop you from hotel. Upon asking to do the same they charged you money 200 Rs per side. Just imagine for having dinner for 200 Rs they will charge you 400 Rs. The hotel is listed in Oyo but i think it should not be listed there as they don't know how to behave. Fake promises fake hotel fake location just money loot. Horrible experience
Worst hotel in Shimla, The staff is so rude, you will feel like to slap on his face. My colleague stay there foe one and half month and for one day due he spoke to him so worst. Location is too bad and rooms are not cleaned.
Reachability is not difficult because of the remote location of the hotel which might be coming in Shimla maybe. Difficult climb to the main road. But clean room and helpful staff. WIFI DOESN'T WORK. The signal strength is not enough so have phone data as backup. Picture shows the view from the window.
Very poor facilities. No water supply, very non-cooperative staff. We had to walk about 200 metres down the road to reach the hotel. Even the cooks are not trained. Dont visit this place, its a complete waste of money staying here.
