Orchid Serenity Apartments - Hotel in Chennai - Chennai, India

This is absolutely infuriating! Can you believe it? As if dealing with all the hassle of arriving at their place isn't enough, they have the audacity to ask for MORE money! And don't even get me started on the lady at the front desk. She couldn't care less about our problems! It's like talking to a brick wall! This whole situation is just beyond frustrating! How can they treat their guests like this? Unbelievable!

My relative stayed here, as per my suggestion. Very bad quality of rooms..fitted sheets were damaged..dusty rooms. We were planning to books a few rooms in the coming month. But with this experience, I am forced to change my decision. What you see in pictures, is not what they experienced!

Location The hotel is located in a residential area which is calm and quiet decent place. The roads leading to the place is not wide for new or non Chennai drivers to easily drive to the place. The entrance of the hotel is little cramped. Parking Only one or two cars can be parked in side. Mostly needs to be parked on road . But the place in on residential area getting a parking place is very difficult. The rooms look decent but the cleaniness of the room is quite a doubt. Rooms The room was completely filled with cigarette smell. We stayed in a family room which was mentioned as no smoking rooms. The restrooms we're good and clean enough. There is no lift for the fourth floor need to get down in the third and climb upstairs for the next. Finally Decent place for one night or short stay .

Room ambience is good, basic kits including bedsheets, restroom supplies could have been arranged before the check in. Supportive staffs. Make sure to confirm with hotel before you reach there, if you book online. Food can be improved. Overall okay.

Recommended if you really need to stay in that location. Otherwise use OYO and get cheap and BETTER rooms few KM away. They are asking slightly premium. Also use equipments carefully . When I try to open the door the key got broken and they asked 500! For that PS-PS-PS key!! Otherwise people working there are good! Food was decent!! Yes!! Not the best or not the worst! Go for it.. if you really need that location!

The hotel is in prime location and a residential area. This property rooms were very decent. This property has c form for foreign guests. In house restaurant also available. Property stats are very supportive. Oyo offers a good discounts also for this property. Commute is very feasible for all locations.

The only positive point is the staffs were good and well behaved. But I have faced a lot of issue while staying there. 1. Bad complimentary breakfast, the worst I have seen anywhere at all. 2. Very less no of option to order food from their restaurant, it is actually hopeless with no quality. 3. A lot of connectivity issue for WiFi 4. Bathroom is just unhygienic and not upto mark. They should renovate every single bathroom there. 5. They provide only one 500ml drinking water bottle every day. You have to order water every time. 6. Water present in their restaurant comes from non working water RO, I suffered from stomach pain after drinking it on one day only. Then I found that the RO is not working and they are using that to serve guests.

Rooms and food are pretty decent but nothing spectacular! Or remarkable.. low quality parts and equipments used everywhere. We can see the cost savings everywhere which is not a bad thing but this incident happened to me. When I was opening the door the key got broken!!! Never seen such a week key. It looks like it build so. Cheeply. Owner saved some cost on looks anyway they asked me to pay 500 rs for that silly key. I disagree with them and finally owner told me to pay 100. TLDR :: when you use the equipments in this apartment make sure you use it with extra care.. most of them will break ... This is just a warning!!!! Otherwise recommend... Good location and descent food.
