Oct to March is the best time to visit.
Start at 2.30 from Shillong to reach by 4.30. You should express the orangeness/redness before the sunrise as well. Its majestic. It gets cold in the morning. Make sure to carry jackets and mufflers.
There is not much commercial availability.
So make sure to carry some food and tea in case you get hungry. Enjoy the photos which I have captured
One of the most beautiful sunrise points in Meghalaya. Almost well-maintained roads will take you to this scenic place. One should go through a village which also has parking space, toilet facilities, homestay and small tea and snacking stalls. This place has little trekking and can get a picturesque view of sunrise and floating clouds and gigantic mountains.
Be careful with the map. It might take you to a dead end at a point. Otherwise it shows the correct way.
Nongjrong village is located in the East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya, approximately 50km from Shillong. It is renowned for its stunning morning sunrise views and the breathtaking vistas above the clouds. To experience the beauty of the sunrise, visitors are advised to reach the village before 4 am.
Its really beautiful place to visit,recommend you to stay at least one night at Nongjrong and watch the sunrise. And thanks me later.
