This is a nice place. The environment of this place is awesome.
This is more of a resting place for the Tarakeswar journeymen than just a regular ghat. There are separate washrooms for men and women. The ghat is very slippery at some point so people are advised to walk there carefully. At the entrance of the ghat there is a beautiful golden colour statue of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Nemaititho Ghat is an historic Ghat of the Bhagirathi at Baidyabati, Hooghly. It is 2 kms walking distance from Sheoraphuli rail station. Mahaprabhu Sri Chaitanya Dev took rest here during his journey on the Bhagirathi. Devotees of Lord Shiva on their pilgrimage to Tarakeswar to pour holy water of the Ganga, fill their pots here and walk nearly 32/35 kms to reach Tarakeswar.
Wide enough to handle lots of crowd during Srawan month. Other times, a great view of Ganges and a temple nearby to energize your spiritual bonds with lord Krishna
Nimai Sri Chaitannya Deb once came to district Hooghly
for the pilgrimage of Tarakeswar. So he bathed in river Ganga on the
bathing ghat of Baidyabati. Then had started his journey to Tarakeswar
on foot. It took about 12 hours to reach Tarakeswar. Later, the
bathing ghat was named on him and now known to all as Nimai Tirtha
Ghat. So, the ghat is about 500 year's old. Kabikankan Mukundaram
mentioned this ghat in his mangal kabya, about 400 years ago. Raja
Harishchandra of Seoraphuly constructed Nistarini Mandir and
Bhadrakali Mandir in the year 1827 beside NimaiTirtha Ghat. Since
then, lakhs of pilgrims take bath on river Ganga from this ghat and
take holy water, visit Ma Nistarini and Debi Bhadrakali near, then use
to go for Tarakeswar on foot to pour that Gangajal on the shiblinga of
Baba Taraknath. The pilgrims use to go to Tarakeswar on the month of
Shraban (July-August).
Good place , Shiva Mahadeba Bhatks come here to collect water and start their journey to Tarakeswar. Mostly crowded all season. Calm place, it's very good feeling in the afternoons. I visited and had good experience here .This place is between Sheraphuli and Baidyabati. Please like my review and follow me.
A Good conditions ghat, have ledis and gents washroom, drinking water, Saphicent light etc.
This is basically a ghat by river Ganga where people can bath normally having public bathroom for changing dressess but the devotees take bath and carry ganga water upto Shiva shrine situated at Tarakeswar, Hooghly. Thus it becomes a place of pilgrimage.
