Nilagiri Rajbati - Historical place in Nilagiri - Baleshwar, India

Nilgiri Rajbari is the most beautiful & traditional historical monument near Balasore in Odisha....!

We visited the Nilagiri Rajbati when the Sun was about to set, and the partially dilapidated palace looked beautiful. A part of it has fallen prey to time, while the other half continues to be the private residence of the family. The campus also houses the ancestral temples of the royal family.

We visited this Jagannath temple in 2018/19 and it was an amazing experience to take the blessings of lord Jagannath do visit this place whenever you are in balesore and beside the temple there is a rajabati where a bamphi (underground pond) is present and experience a new thing am sharing some pics of this place , we visited last week so here are the pictures of 2023 (the bamphi was closed this time )

Can you imagine...Once They rule the whole Nilagiri/ Nilgiri Region, Odisha...they were feared and respected by thousands...still They are the King...still people pay their homage to them...still their Nilgiri Jagannath is regarded as one of India's religio-cultural pillar....yes, I am telling you about Nilagiri/ Nilgiri Rajbati...NIZGARH PALACE, Nilgiri, Odisha. Just beside famous Nilagiri Jagannath Temple, in a picture perfect location, stands tall.. NIZGARH PALACE, the residence of King and Queen...the 39th generation Maharaja Jayant Chandra Mardraj Harichandan still lives here. Most of the palace is now in dilapidated condition... only a small portion is still intact...there resides the present King. But it's now our duty to protect this living history...still a marvel to watch.

A royal & a historical palace with temple inside.Design & architecture of this palace is mesmerizing. Some part of the palace is now in a very bad situation & not maintained well .A good place for photography also . From this place you can get a view of Nilgiri hills. Accomodation facilities is not available.Tourists can visit this place .No entry fee is required. Nilgiri Jagannath temple is situated near to the Rajbari.

It's a package , if you're going to visit Nilagiri Jagannath Temple , then you can come here too. Nice old Buildings out there.
