Neyyar Crocodile Park - Wildlife park in Thiruvananthapuram - Thiruvananthapuram, India

Really disliked this experience. Very bleak atmosphere. Felt more like a crocodile cemetery than a park. The enclosures seemed too small for the crocodiles and didn't appear to mimic any form of their natural habitat. There was one enclosure with a sleeping python and live cockeral waiting to be eaten which was quite disturbing. Would give this zero stars if possible.

Neyyar DAM is a good place to spend some time . The lake is beautiful for clicking photographs. Some time can be spent boating in the lake. The lake side is good and clean, however the dam area could have been cleaned and maintained in a better manner. There is an aquarium . The entry ticket is Rs 30/-. A visit to Neyyar DAM can be clubbed with Kottur Elephant Orphanage where the best time to go is 9 AM in the morning. The best mode of transport to go there is a cab as both of these places are in a little secluded locations.f you want to be spend time with peace of mind and away from rush, this is the right place to visit. It is best to visit on June - Feb mid. You can have a boat ride to lion safari park (Don't expect more)and elephant rehab centre a few kilometers away. There also you can have a boat ride. Rainy season will be the best time to visit this place as per my opinion. The park is are now renovated and its very attractive. There is an aquarium from where you can by golden fish with cheap price for your home aquarium. The swimming pool is under renovation and hope it will complete within a year.

We can see lots of crocodiles up close. It's really fun for the kids. Not crowded at all.

I am not satisfied with Neyyar Crocodile Park authorities because the cages are not well maintained,it is not safe for small children to hangout near the cages unless keeping a safe distance. The animals had lost their wildlife instinct.

Small detour for groups travelling to Neyyar Dam and going for boating. Place in itself is not very attractive. Children may enjoy .

We can see crocodiles,but the three kinds they mention are seen in that area are not distinguishable. The place has seen better days. The best thing a felt there was there is a caged Python and you can see it up close.

Pay 25/- per person for entry to see one crocodile and a phython. To see a bask of crocodiles (7 in number), take a boat trip to other part of the island by paying 250/- per head.

Neyyar Crocodile Park is a part of Neyyar Wildlife Santuary. After paying a small amount as the entrance fee we can get into it. Here the crocs are in separate separate cages and we can watch them in close vicinity. Other than crocs we can find pythons, some birds, tortoise etc. Spending an evening here is worth.
