I didn't hate the room but I would prefer not to go back. Let me explain. So, the two things that I liked were the size of the room and the behaviour of the owner. The things that I hated and did not want me to go back is the amount of electricity problem. I stayed only for one night. I reached in the afternoon and left the next afternoon, there was electricity only at night and not at the daytime. Moreover the owner did not wanted to switch on the generator for some reason. He also didn't give me any concession for the electricity cut. I went during the starting of September which was very hot to stay inside a room without a fan. And even the plug wasn't working to charge my phone.

Good budget guest house with great service. Owner Bashir uncle was so kind and humble. Apple tree inside campus. Cozy, comfortable, wifi and hot water available. Khyaam chowk area was very busy.

There are several types of rooms here depending on your budget.The room selected by me has simple bed with fan and excellent ventilation.Bath room was clean with working geyser and only issue was with some smell that goes away when you open all the windows.Located in silent area behind the khayam chowk felt perfect for good sleep.Felt value for the homely environment with full of trees and humble people with their kind service.

Great place to stay! The owner is very helpful and nice to his guests. We stayed here for 7 nights. Good wifi, hot shower, and convenient location. The facilities are clean but a little old. The good price reflects this.

Best place if you consider great hospitality and the location! Bashir Uncle was so polite from check-in to check-out!

One of the perfect place to be right in heart of the city centre. Bashir Unlce and his family helped us at all times right from guiding us through our planning on day to day basis. Best thing is they make you feel like a family member rather than just a guest. We stayed there for only 10days and uncle used to listen to our daily plans and guide us through our travels. This stay is surrounded by everything you have asked for. Just 10min walk to Dal lake, 5min walk to bus-stop. My new home away from home. Thanks for your support

Very bad experience. We stayed 3 days in 3 rooms last week. Owner his name is basheer , his behaviour was very bad. He thinking we are staying there as free. There is no charging plug in that room, suppose there is no power in any day , or any hours they don't have generator systems, or inverter , it causes Somedays are facing mobile charing problems. Please dont choose this property. That owner will arrange shikara or other things. And they will say just i am helping you, i am not taking any commission from there. But surely i am saying that is a trap. He is taking commission. Don't stay there , otherwise don't take suggestions from that old guy. You can go and bargain book shikhara and others things.

The perfect place right in the heart of Srinagar. One can reach Dal in just 10 minutes by walk (if you are a slow walker like me) or it could take less. Where do I even start about the hospitality, there is no one who does it better than the people of Kashmir, New World is a place you would feel at home, you will have access to the kitchen, a balcony to warm yourself up in the mornings and a lot of stories from uncle if that's your jam! The rooms are nicely built with attached washroom that have a 24*7 water supply with geysers. The natural light fills the room during the days and at night there's a backup in case there's a power cut in the city. Being the famous 'barbeque street', you get food even for your midnight hunger pangs. Almost all the places are easily reachable from here and in case you want to use local transportation, you can ask the owner to help you with it. It's an ideal place for long stays, I booked it for two days but extended my stay because it felt so much at home.
