Wonderful waterfall, it's a small hike in the sanctuary with amazing view. Do visit it weekdays to avoid crowd. Must visit place if you are from Goa or outside Goa and want to see something apart from beaches.
Wonderful waterfall.. need to trek a bit to reach the waterfall. make sure you reach before 4pm by the entry gate. we missed by few minutes and they were not allowing us to enter.
Netravali Wildlife sanctuary is a beautiful getaway on weekends for people visiting or staying near Goa and Uttar Kannada regions. We went there from Karwar on Saturday morning . Route to the Sanctuary/Waterfalls It was a one and half hour drive (around 70 Km) from Karwar. The first 30mins were on the highway and another hour in terrain. You need to drive safely as there are many blind turns on the way. Download the maps in advance so that you don't lose the track in no signal zones. Entry and Tickets As you reach the entrance gate of Sanctuary, you will find a ticket counter. Ticket for one person is Rs 100 and for Car is Rs 100 and separate charges for Music system and DSLR camera . We paid the fees and entered the sanctuary. Waterfalls and Forest There are posters pasted in the sanctuary with photos of many wildlife animals but we didn't sight many except Monkeys, birds and Butterflies. Also, there are three waterfalls in the Sanctuary but only two were active when we visited. One was Mainapi waterfall and the other one was Savri waterfall. We decided to go to Mainapi waterfall. Mainapi Waterfall There is a 4km trek to reach the waterfall. To start your trek, first you need to reach the entrance point which is 300m (Kaccha road) from the main road (One KM from the main entrance). Don't follow Google maps here, just look for the hoarding. After reaching the entrance point, you need to park the car and start your trek of 4km towards Mainapi waterfall. Trek is general walking in wide kaccha road in forest for 3.5 km and then 500m of narrow terrain. There are sitting points with Benches and sheds are provided at every 500m. Carry sufficient water as most of the trek is exposed to sunlight. After reaching the waterfall, enjoy the mesmerizing view and swimming (maximum level is 6ft) if you are carrying spare clothes. There is a small temporary room provided near the waterfall to change clothes. Savri Waterfall This waterfall is only 15-20 mins walk from the main road (around 4 km from main entrance). If you are not planning to spend much time in the sanctuary then you can go to this waterfall. We didn't go there but photos suggested that the Mainapi waterfall is more beautiful. You can decide accordingly. Recommendation 1. Start your journey as early as possible to avoid crowd and sunlight. 2. Carry sufficient water for the trek. 3. Carry some snacks as you may feel hungry after swimming. 4. Carry spare clothes for swimming in the waterfall. 5. Download maps in advance as there are many no signal zones. 6. You can follow the Google maps till the main entrance but don't follow inside the sanctuary, it may mislead. 7. Wear appropriate shoes and clothing for the trek. All the best
The route to netravali is extremely scenic! The sanctuary is home to various types of flora and fauna making the visit a rich experience. Savri waterfall is a great place to relax and chill without much crowd. Forest officers do not allow you to stay here post 5pm so try to make your visit early to spend more time.
You will get amazing view of this waterfall. It is situated in South Goa . Very easily accessible. Entry fee is 100 Rs/PP . Very well maintained waterfall by Forest Department. Views are amazing. You have to walk only for 20 mins to see mesmerizing view. Must recommended Waterfall in Monsoon. Enjoyed a lot. Please Keep the environment clean and plastic free.
A scenic beauty that's worth watching. A place abundant with greenary, enjoy a walk through the cold water, listen to the chirping sound of birds, get a free fish spa. We visited in december and waterfall was not fullest. Yet the view was mesmerizing. One has to walk approximately 15 min(~2 km) to reach the destination from the entrance.
Beautifull 2/4 difficulty level trek Entry 100/- rupees per head Vehicle Entry 100/- rupees per car Tips Carry lots of drinking water Watch out for leeches There is absolutely no range over there so if your co-ordinating with your group in another vehicle try and do tht way before you near netravali. Only BSNL sim cards have some reception Other than that no chance of connecting
Awesome off beat place in goa !! It was awesome to watch the fall and okay in cold water even though there was less water it was worth a trek. Trek taril is about 1-1.5 KM and track level is moderate to difficult. Good place to hang out with friends and family. Also you get free pedicure from small fishes inside the water Be a sinsivle visitor and do not litter, keep the place clean. Notes: 1. Mainapi and this waterfall looks very close by in google map, but it takes 4-5 hours to cover both and also Mainapi closing time is 2:00 PM and Sarvi fall's closing time is 4:00 PM, So plan accordingly 2. Nothing you get here to drink or eat, so bring your fluids and food while coming. 3. Entry fee is common for both the falls. 4. There a changing room at this falls but no rest rooms.
One of the best waterfall of Goa..you have to trek for 4km from parking place. It is one of best trek filled with beautiful roads which is easy to walk and the forest department have made small huts inbetween where you can take a break for a while. W
