Naulakha Palace - Heritage museum in Gondal - Rajkot, India

A definite visit in Gondal city. 2 hours required is you're taking the whole tour. Tour guide is very knowledgeable and has a nice sense of humour. A bit expensive at 320/- INR per person for the whole tour but separate individual sections are also available to visit. Great for kids and family and great parking spaces available as well.

Very well managed and maintain palace. But in terms of other palace I show this one is small. Some of the well knowen Bollywood films shoot here. Entry Ticket price is 60Rs per person and additional cost apply on the other things like horse cart museum and all but as per me that didn't worth the ticket price. But it's good architect heritage palace. With river view also.

Old heritage. But neat and clean villa. Good collection of old items like library, horse drawn vehicle, foreign doll collection, etc....

Very Good collection of antiques. Well maintained. Saw collections of Hourse Carriage, Dolls, Eggs, Model Cars, Vessels and Firniture, Turbans, Crockery, Ship Models apart from the beautiful architecture of the palace. Must visit place when in Gondal. However, you need Atleast 2 hours to see all things there. Our guide was very nice and explained everything in quite a detail.

The palace and the collection is tremendous. Maharaja bhagwat Singh ji made such awasome stuff that blows your mind specially car & miniature art lover going to be crazy so yeah do visit.

The only reason why I visited Gondal was the attraction to Naulakha Palace, I had read quite a bit about it and heard from fellow travelers too. My expectations were a bit on the higher sides. I guess the palace cum museum failed to live up to my expectations and hence the 4 start rating. At INR 280 and INR 50 for photography the entry price is affordable but a bit steep for most Indian tourists and at the end of the day most visitors may feel the price doesn't deliver the bang for the buck. However, personally speaking it was well worth the money for me. I spent something like a bit more than a hour with the guide who gave a guided tour of the palace cum museum. The buggy collection, the collection of bird eggs, the collection of turbans and the collection of quirky/fancy tea pots were the best besides the architecture of the place. The doll collection and miniature cars collection were a bit of a let down. Overall, I was happy with my visit and it was totally worth the days visit to Gondal from Rajkot. If you have a day or half to spare in Rajkot, a quick visit to Gondals Naulakha Palace is well worth it.
