History museums are fascinating places to explore the past and learn about the people and events that have shaped our world. They often feature interactive exhibits, artifacts, and multimedia displays that make history come alive. Whether you're a history buff or simply curious about the past, a visit to a history museum can be a fun and educational experience. Nice place to explore

Well maintained. Must take students atleast once. So many exhibits related to evolution is seen. It will surely increase their interest towards the subject. All exhibits are maintained in order. We tool our daughter to the museum and she wants to visit the same again and again. Stuffed specimens of birds, animals and even we can find fossils. Foetus of some animals like hippopotamus, tiger etc are preserved well. Skeleton of related organisms are exhibited together.

This Natural History Museum is located in PTP Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram. It provides a great experience for the curious who want to know the natural wonders of the past. The exhibits here are very impressive and everything is very neatly and a aesthetically arranged. It is arranged in a way that is very beneficial for young children especially those studying in UP schools. The main attraction here is the large display which marks the animals seen in each era and the places where they were found. I hope this museum collects, develops and displays more interesting artifacts and real fossils. It would be more interesting if they could display some more ancient fossils and real skeletons. It is a must visit place for the School children as well as other people.

Very informative and creative work is displayed here. Childrens will like this place a lot. Animals and Birds collections are very good. There are some skeletons and artworks displayed here as well. The interiors and animal sculptures on the walls are beautiful as well. The staff are also informative and kind.

I'm not very good at zoology, but the staff make it easier to understand. Worth a visit. Tickets are Rs30 per adult (as of May 2023)

Please read this... The photos shown by others is the museum located in TRIVANDRUM zoo complex... It is the real natural history museum.... But this location in PTP nagar, forestry training complex is different which shows only forest & conservation related specimens & also got the same name...This museum is closed right now for renovation... Please call enquiry in forest website and come to visit after confirmation...worth to visit... But now its closed.... Please visit TRIVANDRUM zoo & museum complex to see the items in photos shown here....Its location is different... Please search TRIVANDRUM museum...

The renovated Natural History Museum located within the Zoo&Museum compound is definitely as enlightening and entertaining as its larger-than-life fixtures of extinct animals on the walls. The meticulous collection along with the modern tableau of wildlife awakens that long-lost childhood wonder in us! But I am giving it only four stars because amidst this wonderful display of our natural history, there is an awkwardly placed gallery in the name of A.K.Antony, a former Chief Minister of Kerala. It houses all kinds of trinkets and baubles that he seem to have donated, including questionable and irrelevant things he collected at every public function he ever attended. It was rather pointless and an absolute waste of time.
