Located at over 4000m above sea level, this is one of the highest border area in India. We visited in June, and temperatures were still around zero degrees. We could still see snow of top of the mountains.
There's not much to see around the place except the Indo-China border, and the border posts of the respective armies.
However, the journey to the place is absolutely beautiful - you can encounter multiple waterfalls, rivers and clean lakes. A must visit if you are in Sikkim.
You may face breathing difficulties due to low oxygen levels, make sure to not exert yourself much, and move slowly while walking and climbing stairs.
Just beside the china border. Must visit place. One of the few borders where civilians can go so near. Snow is present almost all round the year. Roads are just amazing, great work by BRO(Border roads organization).
Located at a Height of over 4000 mts above sea level is a mountain in between China's Yadong city in Tibet and the Indian states of Sikkim. The place is one of the most important points in terms of the Bilateral Relationship between India and China..
The Pass has become a tourist point and visited by more than thousands of people on a daily basis..
It's nearly freezing, however the place is developing for tourism..
You can visit the place from Gangtok which is around 55kms away and by hiring a personal vehicle or a bus but do remember you have to take a permit to enter the region..
Must visit this place however I request you not to litter plastic wrappers there as it is destroying the beauty of the place..
