Namgyal Cafe - Pizza restaurant in Dharamshala - Kangra, India

A must visit cafe if you want to taste authentic Tibetan cuisine. The cafe is located on first floor just near the Namgyal monastery. Authentic Burmese costume is offered here and has authentic taste. The food portion is large, so don't order more than one dish per person. The sitting area is slightly cramped. But the food makes up for it!

The place is quite and cozy. The owner is very friendly and honest. We tried the pizza on his recommendation and it turned out great. Everything was fresh and nice. It takes a little time for the food to be ready but given the freshness, it's worth it. We also had a ginger honey lemon which was again very refreshing during the winter. Amazing places for a wonderful lunch or dinner.

We had Spinach cheese Momos and Whale Pizza. For a homely cafe the pizza size was really large. Enough alone for 2 ppl. And the taste was really nice. Momos tasted great and are definitely must try for a different kind of taste..

After traveling for a long time, I and my friends came to this cafe before leaving. The first thing to notice here when entering is the comforting and cozy ambience. The staff here was very friendly and welcoming. We decided to order pizza and we were delighted by the quality of the pizza and how well made it was. There's also a huge variety of green teas and other types of teas you can choose from.

True local tibetan food Situtated in enroute to dalai lama temple from main square. They serve both veg and nonveg beautifully Quite place with great views, not many visit local shops in mcleodgunj which is a shame. This place is very close to the Dalai Lama temple in Mcleodganj. We had ordered a lot of dishes here of wish most were tibetan dishes. The atmosphere is very friendly and comfortable. Food is great. Will surely visit next time.

Location has changed from old place to first floor, infront of the parking. Went there for wood oven pizza. It was okie, not great but the sauce provided was very bad, don't eat that (even the one that they filled in official sauce bottles). They had minimum option available from the menu. Ordered grilled sandwich and assam milk tea - both were average at best. Went with high expectations on a referral while visiting Dharamshala, but overall disappointed. Added some photos too.

Loved the Tibetain salty tea. The cheesecake was to die for. The crowd felt hippie but I guess that's the vibe of the place. Foreigner, backpacker, hippies et al. The food was quite nice. Not over the top but really nice. The lemon cheesecake had my heart though. Really.
