Nagavara Lake - Lake in Bengaluru - Bengaluru Urban, India

Located in the northern part of the city, Nagavara Lake is a serene and picturesque destination that offers a much-needed break from the bustling urban life. As I arrived at the lake, I was immediately struck by its picturesque ambiance. The calm waters shimmered under the warm sun, creating a mesmerizing sight. The well-maintained surroundings and lush greenery added to the overall charm of the place, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. One of the highlights of Nagavara Lake is its well-designed promenade. Walking along the paved pathway, I was treated to breathtaking views of the lake and its surroundings. The fresh breeze and the sound of chirping birds made the experience even more rejuvenating. It was a joy to see families, couples, and fitness enthusiasts enjoying their time strolling, jogging, or simply sitting on the benches, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. During my visit, I also noticed the efforts made to maintain the cleanliness of the lake. The authorities have implemented waste management systems, which have contributed to keeping the surroundings clean and litter-free. It was heartening to see such initiatives being taken to preserve the beauty of this natural gem.

Nagavara Lake is one of the popular attractions of Bangalore. The lake is situated in the Outer Ring Road of Bangalore. The beauty of the lake has an appeal of its own. The lake is spread across an area of 43.86 hectares. It has been developed by the lake authority of India. Nagawara lake or popularly. known as Lumbini garden is now closed as its lease has expired.

Pretty large lake but currently there is no proper access to the lake. However you can see the lake from the side where the fishermen sells their produce. Hope authorities take action to open up the lake for general public.

You can get freshwater alive fishes like Rohu, Katla, etc. in the morning from 7:00 AM to 12:00PM

I've seen this place since when it was a nondescript body of water in the outskirts of town. From there the way it has been reclaimed and bringing up the garden around it is a commendable feat. The park was beautiful when I visited as soon as it was opened to public. Not sure how it is now. Maybe I will visit and update this review based on what I see.

It has been developed by the lake authority of India. And also on other side of the bank you get fishes for sale which is fished from the nagavara lake. Which is usually crowded on weekends .

The view is good. The drainage flows directly to this lake.
