N. S. Memorial Institute of Medical Sciences - General hospital in Thazhuthala - Kollam, India

One of the best hospital in kollam, they provide great medical service to the people. They have almost all departments and 500 beded hospital. The doctors and staffs are good and well behaviour . But the billing section is very poor and they rude to their patients and bystanders especially the billing section opposite to the insurance section . Otherwise it's a nice hospital and good infrastructure.

It is one of the greatest hospitals in Kollam and is conveniently situated on the kollam bypass. There are facilities for every type of treatment accessible here, however it is frequently busy. Parking is fine, but almost always there was a line, making it chaotic and pitiful.

In my entire life I have never experienced such a worst hospital service. Stretcher patient the way they care is a nightmare. Ancient stretcher which is not suggested for human care. Then doctor and staff at the casualty My God we got our father back home safely. We went there to exchange the tubes fitted, Without reading the medical history the casualty team remove the feeding tube and then they struggling to insert the new one. Come on its a hospital people expect experienced doctor and nurses at the casualty for heaven sake. I really doubt how they have the medical certificate to treat critical patents. One suggestion to all please whatever situation is the patient please never think of NS Hospital it's a life threating place not life saving please be careful.

The main doctor of the patient was very cooperative in some aspects but the other department (cardiology) the patient was well needed and his absence made us to discharge and shift to another hospital in emergency even when there was a valid reason for his life. I am not saying about all but in my aspects the major departments has to be improved upto the level as compared to the rating they have in the industry.

Worst experience from the security personnel at lift. Behaved very rude to the bystander. He expelled me from the lift saying that its a patient lift even though there was ample space in lift when i was hurrying to bring food to the patient at labour room.other lifts were crowded and i had to go to 6th floor immediately using stairs. Not everyone. Most of the security personnel behaves very politely to patients. But some behaves like local gundas.

During my second delivery I underwent CS in NS hospital and have gone through bad experience overall.While giving care in the ICU the staffs were talking badly and not given any support throughout the hospitalisation.Even after the discharge I consulted one lady pediatrician for my baby.I don't know how they. behaving to a New mother without any kindness.I am a nurse by profession and working in UK now Now I can see how the patient have been treating by the professionals here

Very good hospital. One of the best in Kollam I would say. Located near the Kollam bypass. Very much accessible. Experienced and highly qualified doctors are the highlight. Earlier the premises were too shabby. But recently they have renovated their old building and also launched a new building.. now it's much better. A huge parking area is available. All sorts of medical facilities are available here. This hospital is very crowded most of the time. Need more staff in counters for quick disposals. Even though there is a huge rush, the staff are very cooperative and helpful which is the biggest positive thing I have noted.

I had a really bad experience. A hospital should be patient and bystander friendly. Me and my wife had to wait hours in front of the pharmacy where no chairs were available. Their resource organisation was also pathetic. Patients are forced to buy medicines from their pharmacy itself by not giving prescription. Items for different procedures should be available at the procedure room itself patients or their bystanders should not be sent to pharmacy to buy those stuff. Im a doctor myself even i had to wait for so much time think about other public people. Board members of this hospital should tale some decision to make this better. Also the parking space were like paddy fields. Please improve that too.
