This is the main attraction and beauty of Mysuru. People including foreigners visit this place. Must visit place. If you are staying in Sunday night, must not miss the illumination view from 7-8pm. I was lucky to see the beauty of this palace in sunlight, evening light and special Sunday evening light. It was one of my life time experience.

A must visit place in Mysore. By the time of Dasara only i visited. And i witnessed for dozens of lightning magic . It's completely good for a one day trip. Because if you want to completely enjoy the beauty then you need to spend a lot of time for visiting. I almost spend more than 4 to 5 hours for completion of inside view. It's a complete beauty of old history.

The Mysore Palace is beautifully stunning. The carvings, paintings, the colours and sheer magnificence all just spectacular. It is a photographer's paradise. It's a must visit for people who love architecture. If you can visit during Dussera festival you will see a grand celebration and illumination of the palace, with processions etc. Also, every sunday evening the palace is illuminated for few hours.

It is a museum, so if you are interested in historical things, you can go for it. Also this place is huge, and I loved most the interior design and crafts. A great place for photos too. In any case, it's worth a visit. There is a ticket to go inside the museum like inside the palace but you can roam freely and click photos, without tickets as the place is huge .

All together It was a good experience. The lighting was mesmerizing. On the other hand it was over crowded. Management needs to work on how to handle such a crowd. Need to have proper barricades at least at the shoe counter. Ticket price - Rs100 adult. The lightning on the beautiful palace will appear at 7:00pm.
