It is a great place with a natural beauty situated beside the university of hyderabad campus. It is little difficult to reach there. You may need some local one to reach this place. There are two ways to reach there. One is using university gate and the other using a road called hill ridge spring beside Ella hotel. The sunset is very beautiful from this place. The bigger rock is balanced on two smaller rocks one on each side. It looks exactly like a mushroom. There is a ladder placed there and you can climb the rock by this thing. You will have a great experience if you spend some time sitting below the bigger rock. You will also experience a beautiful breeze there and may see some peacocks. Atleast you must hear some of them. It is situated in between bushes so you may have to spend some time to find the small way to reach there.
It was yesterday I realized HCU is prettier than i imagined, and every other day is a treat, and here today at mushroom rock i couldn't stop agreeing with that in each of my steps.
Good place to visit. Trust me you will enjoy the journey to reach it with all Beautiful lush green sceneries. Wild and its beautiful. Visit it at the time of Sun rise or Sun set. The view from top of the rock is really good. Students go in batches and get some creative pics clicked on the rock and at the helipads.

You will be definitely suprised by the rock structure (mushroom shape). You can feel beautiful sunrise and sunset here. Also you can see many birds including peacocks. It's one of best spots for photoshoots.

I felt it's okay to spend some time here away from city noise in lap of nature. It's not too clean and plenty of broken bottles on the way makes it not so perfect.
