GOLKONDA FORT - Tourist attraction in Hyderabad - Hyderabad, India

Opens at 9am and the counter closes at 530pm. Not sure about the sound and light show at night. Beautiful multi-tier fort, the hike up to the top will take less than an hour at a very leisurely pace. The entire fort complex can be explored and will take about 2-3 hours. Better to avoid visiting during summers and during mid-day.

Historic fort and most importantly really well maintained. You need atleast 2-3 hrs to explore the fort. You need to walk and later climb a lot of stairs to reach the top, but totally worth it. Recommended to hire a guide to understand the history and the architecture. Highly recommend!

Those who are fond of historic monuments will like this place. One can easily spend 2 to 3 hours by looking everything around.You can also climb up to the top.Try visiting in cool weather..it will enhance your experience

Overally it's a nice place, if you wanna visit go right before sunset if I say timings then enter around 4:00 pm trek towards the top explore this place fully you'll get the vibe. Don't visit with people's who hate walking it'll suck for them. Above mentioned timing is for them who want the best view of sunset from top and capture yourself with a beautiful sunset view. (P.s Grab sun glasses and water bottles. And don't visit during throughout the day or midday it'll suck best time to visit is right before sunset.) Have a great day

Very nice place for a quick trip in hyderabad. If you are going for the first time, you must hire a guide. Lots of things to learn about the architecture and history of the fort.

Golconda is very important fort in in the history of Hyderabad. Its unique architecture will definitely grab your attention in various sections of the fort. It is believed that the Kohinoor Diamond was discovered here as it used to be an important diamond trading site. its highly recommended to hire a guide, as you will miss lot of details without proper guidance.

The historical fort is most attractive place for tourists. It take me one and half hours to see the full fort. If you eager to understand the history, it's better to take a guide because most of the locations are deteriorated due to weather. The guide will explain every location on the spot. 1. Ticket price is 25/- rupees for adults. 2. Wheelchair accessibility is allowed till the starting point of the hill. 3. After reaching the top of the fort, you will see magnificent view of the city.

Nice clean place to visit. The view from the top is very refreshing. The entry cost is also very nominal (Rs25/-). If visiting during day time, then take water bottle with you as there are many steps to the top. There are snack shops inside but they accept only cash. It will take around 3-4 hours to cover the whole fort.
