Murudeshwara Ocean Edge Beach Resort - Resort hotel in Murdeshwar - Uttara Kannada, India

We happened to stay in this resort for our group vacation with friends which turned into a nightmare. * Staff were reckless, very very rude and not at all helpful. * AC Was not working which makes staying in the room was near to impossible. * Food was horrible like hell. Quality of food was very very poor and most of the items were not refilled till everyone lost their patience and left the dinning hall with empty stomach. Their chapatis were stinking. * The plates and other utensils were not cleaned properly. They have presented the soiled plates and bowls for food. * The staff were actually commanding guests to cleanup their plates after eating from their tables. * All the meals were served very very late. Since we travelled with kids it was very difficult to manage hungry kids. * No proper information about dos and don't in their private beach. Many kids got stings from star fish and jelly fish while playing in their beach and ended up with severe rashes and numbness which made us to literally consult doctors. * Bedsheets and towels were not at all clean. * Prices that they are charging were unrealistic for their facilities & services. I am wondering how they are even running this place. Please stay away from this hotel if u want to have a peaceful vacation.

I had stayed here for a day with my family, the overall stay experience is excellent, The highlight was the overall resort and the natural trails, The owners are quite helpful and friendly. They did give us a map for places to visit near by and suggested how to get around. The rooms are clean, the food is veg & nonveg is homely taste, and people are warm. The evening campfire and They have a beach volleyball, totally different experience for us.

We had booked an AC cottage. The room was very clean. The washroom was also hygienic. Good service and is 2 km away from temple. Hotel helps with auto booking to reach any place in murudeshwar.

Location is good, whereas the management seems to be not from a hotel management background. All the local guys manage it. Food n service have scopes to improve. The beach could have been kept more clean, since it's a private beach ; it should be kept clean. The servers behaviour is rude and least concerned about customers satisfaction. Prices charged double to what we get.

We had the worst experience in this resort, it is not eligible for 2 star. These are money makers do not care about guests, seems all 5 star ratings are their own people. Please beware of these people while booking their website will entice you with lots of things but in reality it does not. Stay away from this property if you want a peaceful vacation.

A very disappointing and forgetful stay. Had initially booked for two nights on a family trip wef 16-17 Oct 2023. Bookings were done after going through the pics and reviews on web, by contacting the property directly. On reaching the property, the first look itself, proved the imagination created by the website wrong. The property was in a poor state of maintenance.The wooden rooms face the staff accommodation and the kitchen area. The outer area has been poorly lit and maintained. We were allotted two wooden rooms (203 & 204) on the ground floor for the first night and one sea facing room for the second night (which subsequently we didn't stay). The entire balance payment was insisted upon on arrival itself. The wooden rooms are very small and dingy. The washroom door could not be closed due to lock issue (as the lock gets jammed from inside), the toilet seat cover was broken and detached, bucket, mug and waste box were in real shabby state. Add to this, was the disinterested and lukewarm response of the staff. It took about three hours to replace the broken mug and fixing of the toilet seat cover. Rest remained unresolved. Dinner and breakfast which was part of the package was the worst. Food was really bad and literally the menu offered no choices. Roadside eateries will stand way ahead both in terms of cutlery and the service provided. Hygiene part not being commented upon. You don't have a choice to go out and eat as the place is bit in the interior. Even the so-called private beach for which had gone, was not well maintained as it was just a part of regular beach only, no effort from the property to maintain a portion or so. Finally decided to, cut short our visit and cancelled the second nights stay. The sea facing rooms also does to seems to be that impressive from the looks. Interior road leading to the temple is narrow and full of speed breakers (vehicle breakers). On the financial part, not at all worth the value being charged for. Highly priced for the services and facilities being offered. Overall, a very poorly maintained property with little or no amenities and would caution everyone to think and look for other options.

Suitable only for group travelers. Ground floor rooms have minimum privacy. Rooms maintenance is below average given that premium charged per night. There were a lot a mosquitoes during our 1 night stay. Far from temple and not at all walkable and road to the temple from thos place is too narrow. No amenities for car drivers.. most resorts and hotels have some basic amenities for drivers like dorms or at least common bathrooms. positives are access to beach and good food.

I visited very recently along with group of families. The only selling point for this resort is beach and everything else is just BAD. The rooms are nonsense - bathroom door locks won't work and water stagnant on bathroom floor all the time.On top, the resort people do not help on these and reply in a very arrogant way to adjust. Sea facing rooms are might be a little better than remaining rooms. Food is overall bad with exception of 1 or 2 snacks - chapathi's smelling, insufficient for all the guests most of the times, basic food items missing, and waiting time to refill is frustrating.. The most pathetic thing is unavailability of drinking water :-( and no response from the guys working there..I would not call it as a resort but a space run by local people with no experience in hospitality industry. The cost is too much overpriced and would not recommend to anyone. You might see some good ratings but I believe they are from their own people.. So beware!!
