Munnar Rock Resorts - Resort hotel in Munnar - Idukki, India

The worst thing I ever did was stayed at this resort. With a child, the entire stay felt like a nightmare. The room in which we stayed is not tidy at all. Ants and wasps abound. The bees began stinging us in the morning around 6.30AM when they managed to enter the room through the gaps in the windows. When we reported this to the management he simply came up with a broomstick to sent them outside . Anyway, all back again after a little while. Myself and my wife got stung by bees and somehow we managed to save our son from it. Because of this, we have rushed to leave the place by 8 AM itself. In the end, we spent $3,500 on our lodging for our one-night stay. This amount was quoted for the balcony arrangement and view. This bee thing prevented us from going to the balcony alone. That amount of money is totally undeserving of this space. I firmly advise not to book this resort.

scammers .. please don't pay advance money they will cheat you 100% .. Such a horrible experience.. not recommended for families .. No safety for girls !!! Be aware ... .

It was a great experience. Bcoz my first visit in munnar i booked a hotel room but that was not worthy and not comfortable, Munnar Rocks have very Neat and clean rooms, and you can see the best misty view point here, i loved it and thank u Babu chetta

The hotel is 6-7km away from the Munnar town in the Cochin highway and it is not in the place where the google map shows. Since most of the tourist attractions is not towards this route so you have to travel back and cross munnar town each time you go for a visit to any place. I booked for a "Delux double room" but they gave "2 room standard cottage" and which was a quite surprise (with reason stating, we are doing a favour to you sir). Its a separate cottage and the nearby cottage is 15feet above our cottage and no one can hear even if we shout (inside). There where two rooms and the size was "okay". common bathroom and toilet for those two rooms. Two single bed in the main room and one single bed in the separate room with a single dewan (quite ugly) and four plastic chairs and one big plastic table and one tea-pai. I asked for two extra woolen blankets and they gave but the Blankets where dusty. The blankets that covering the bed was clean but it became chilled at nights (make sure you ask for extra woolen blankets to cover the bed). The ceiling where covered with a the polished sun-mica sheets and due to the wet climate you can see a lot of black formations (algae/Fungai?) and have seen 1 spider of one inch size on the wall. The windows have transparent glasses and the scenic view will be okay. The curtains lacks to cover the windows fully so the privacy in the nights is challenging. There was one small size TV (14" or 17") with cable connection. They have rubber mats in front of the bathrooms and the maindoor and which is not comfortable when you are wet. Parking is challenging. Hotel is located 20feet above the highway so you have to drive in a steep road (10-15 meters) to climb up and which is too incline. Again its challenging to turn your car on the top because it lacks space and no problem if you have small segment car and there is no chance of turning if there is two more cars and you have to climb down in reverse. In overall, this is a "well constructed" hotel in a moderate place with "Okay" maintenance.

Nice rooms, located in a fairly well connected place. The stay was good. Even though all the staff were very welcoming, a lot needs to be improved on the services being provided to the guests. Overall a decent place to put up.

Gud resort, staff is very nice nd very helpful. Breakfast is very nice, overall gud experience near by everything available . There people are known multiple language. We didn't get any problem. Keep it up. All the best

The rooms are good but the overall area of resort is small. No much parking space. The view is nice. Faced quite problems with washrooms and with hot water. Complimentary breakfast was good.

Its a decent place and the view is great. The hotel is between 2 big rocks. rooms are small and amenities are ok like 2-3 star range. Price is affordable. its around 8kms from the main Munnar city
