Traveled in September 2023. Super cool spot. The day we went were drizzled. So much enjoyed a view n weather. We rented a car to reach there. Temple view was awesome. But early darshan will be appreciable other wise parking will be difficult. U will have to climb up. You can have trail walk from the temple to stunning view valley of mukteshwar. Worth including in itinerary.

At Mukteshwar Dham.. -- Mukteshwar Dham Bleesed to get the blessings from where pandvaa got blessings for Victory The cave temples are dedicated to the Hindu deity Lord Shiva and are located on the banks of the river Ravi. The caves are said to have been used by the Pandavas for staying during their final year in exile. Mukteshwar Temple is situated atop a hill and contains a marble Shiva lingam and a copper yoni. The idols of the various Hindu deities Brahma, Vishnu, Hanuman, Parvati and Ganesha surround the Lingam. These are 5500 year old caves & a temple built by Pandavas. According to the Hindu Mythology, these caves are as old as the Mahabharata. It was built by pandavas during their exile, as according to a legend stated in the mythology, these caves served as home to the pandavas as they rested and took shelter over here during their exile. It was during their Agyatvas that they stayed in these caves for six months. This place is also known as Mini Haridwar. Those people who can not do ash immersion of their kin at haridwar, they flow it in Ravi River at Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple.

This place is historical and is related to Pandavas. They live here for some time and created rooms in the mountains near the river raavi. This place is currently under renovation. There are a lot of stairs to go reach to this place so better wear sports shoes and carry a duppatta as it is difficult to walk down the stairs on a sunny day. Pandavas have creates shivlings to do prayers and one seriously get awestruck adlfter watching this beauty as creating place to live in stone mountain is not everyone's job

Mukteshwar dham mandir is situated on the banks of River Ravi at the border of Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab (cave temple is on Punjab side). According to the tales this temple is believed to be constructed by Pandavas during the period of their agyatvas. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and situated in a cave which is an important feature of this temple. We need to step down approx 300 stairs to reach here. This temple is believed to be the ancient haridwar which was not completed due to unknown reasons . A free of cost Langar/prasad is available for the devotees throughout the whole year.

om nm shivaay Mukteshwar Mahadev is situated at an approximate distance of 26kms from Pathankot Cantt Station and it takes around 50mins to reach there. As per facts temple is approx 5,500 years old & was built by Pandvas during there 12th year of 'Agyatwas'. Temple is located deep down a hill, there's only one way of staircase to go down & climb up back. There's a hand made cave downside the hill by the Pandavs. In the cave Shivling is there which is unique in itself, one & only in world. A River flows by the temple namely Rewa River which also acts as divider between Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab. There is 'Langar' facility which goes 365days and feed everyone who comes there & need food. Water dispensers are placed serving also cold water. Ample parking space is there. Police teams is always there for the security & safety. There's only 1 shop to buy water or any snacks. Right now construction work is going on to develop the place.
