This hotel building is at a great location and is a heritage property. But the hotel staff is not trained to acknowledge the worth of their holding.
Maybe the MP tourism should look after their staff better.
Could have been a much better experience.
TO ENJOY GOOD FORTUNE YOU MUST FEEL FORTUNATE.
Just the perfect experience of staying in a Palace at an affordable cost. The staff were very helpful and the service was good. Would have wanted the breakfast to be a little more elaborate and laid out.
My room - number 4 - has to be the best one in this delightful heritage property, looking out on to a huge terrace with terrific views over Orchha.
Our warm welcome by the helpful and kind staff was especially appreciated after a long dusty afternoon on the road from Khajuraho. After checking out, we were permitted to stay on longer to accommodate our onward travel plans.
Extremely disappointed with the Service, Rude and I'll mannered staff, more than an hour and half service time for just an order of Dal Bukhara, Dal Tadka and Mix vegetable with some breads.
Serving Fresh lime soda with horrible taste and time taken was enough to take power nap.
I will not recommend any body to visit
If you can add want live like a king for a day or two then be here for sure you will not get all the luxuries of the yester years but you can imagine what you don't get
Orcha is a very small town in Madhya Pradesh and there are about 50 monuments around the sheesh mahal and most of them are in a distance not more than two kilometres from here.
This place is a must for anyone who has a passion for palaces and forts and temples.
What adds to the beauty of this place is the river Betwa and on the other side the river is the jungle with almost no sign of human settlement as far as the eye sees.
Mesmerising views and experience. Like all other ancient cities this city also has a lot of interesting stories linking it to other states. These stories are best narrated by the local guides who feel like part of the history and culture.
I visited Orchha in July 2023. Stayed in sheesh mahal. Although I used to stay with Mptc many times. The hospitality was excellent. Room was clean. I enjoyed the food with my family.
Very good property in the heart of Orchcha. You experience the royalty at heart at Sheesh Mahal. This is next to Jahangir Palace which is one of the major centre of attraction in this city. Staff is cordial and professional. Cleanliness is perfect. I especially want to thank Mr. Tripathi from MPT staff who very kindly helped me with an important luggage we left behind at the hotel. He was a great help and displayed true humanity and selflessness.
Will recommend strongly that you should stay here.
The famous Sheesh Mahal. A MP Tourism restaurant. It has rooms also for booking including king size, queen size and 6 standard rooms
