Betwa River View - Featured Reviews (159)
The place has lots of scenic views in and around the river. The sunset view was quite nice but the place lacks cleanliness at some spots. But overall this place was the highlight of our Orchha trip. The place offers boat ride and some other water adventure sports nearby.
Located just 0.5Km from Shri Ram Raja Temple, This place is completely awesome, river, stones, nearby forest, what an incredible view you see ie completely scenic & utterly splendid.
River water sound with cool breeze sound gives an unforgettable experiences. While the one side of bridge has temple architectures, Good resorts & hotels too & fort kinda feels, another side gives you the view of forest ie kinda picnic place feels.
The perfect place of camping for a day.
The only trouble is bridge with single lane which is the way to other city & explore the #Betwa river from same bridge is kinda scary since vehicles pass.
Make sure visitors follow proper safety protocols.

Absolutely calm and serene place.Time seems to be frozen here.We visited on a full moon day.We visited the chattris at Sunset and then sat on the riverfront.Fortunately,it was not crowded at all.Enjoyed every bit. There was a saint on the riverfront, singing bhajans. It was great listening to them.
A beautiful river with clean water flowing through Orchha. One can easily spend a couple of hours sitting on the banks of the river. Don't forget to go across the river and take photos of the cenotaphs and watch a beautiful sunset
In Sanskrit "Betwa" is Vetravati. This river is mentioned in the epic Mahabharata along with the Charmanwati river(citation needed). Both are tributaries of Yamuna. Vetravati was also known as Shuktimati. The capital of Chedi Kingdom was on the banks of this river.
The Betwa (Hindi :- betvaa, Sanskrit :- vetrvtii) is a river in Central and Northern India, and a tributary of the Yamuna.
It rises in the Vindhya Range (Raisen) just north of Narmadapuram in Madhya Pradesh and flows northeast through Madhya Pradesh and Orchha to Uttar Pradesh.
Nearly half of its course, which is not navigable, runs over the Malwa Plateau. The confluence of the Betwa and the Yamuna rivers is in Hamirpur district in Uttar Pradesh, in the vicinity of Orchha.
The betwa rivers ghat/ river view was so beautiful and peaceful.. the crowd was not much.. a little risky to as the bridge does not have solid holding.. the water felt so good.
The view was nice but I wouldn't say it was spectacular. Sadly, you will find some trash around the area as the spot is downstream from Orchha town.
A perfect place to relax. The perfect time to be there should be after 5:00 Pm. The view of the Chhatris will mesmerize you.
