Mookaneri Bird Watching Spot - Bird watching area in Kannankurichi, Salem - Salem, India

A beautiful and scenic bird watching spot easily accessible from Salem city. During October to February Indian and Foreign birds come here to hatch eggs and fly back with their chicks. This bird spot consists of neatly laid pavements and cement benches. Entry is free. The fisherman catch fishes here and you can buy them afresh.

Located just under the foothills of yercaud, water comes straight away from the shervarayan hills! However requesting people to use this place as a hotspot, by not polluting with plastics! This place still remains so Serene with people living a life like of Stone age era! Visit there post monsoons to encounter with lots of migratory birds. Best time to visit is the early mornings or late evenings to encounter birds!

Good place to relax and enjoy the scenery. But when people are not around. Most who visit that place litter and make lot of noise pollution. They should respect nature but they don't. Should bring some regulatory body to maintain this place.
