I enrolled into Mitra Hermitage's customised 12 days detox programme for individuals battling diabetes and high sugar levels. The programme has helped immensely in reducing my blood sugar levels, controlling my blood pressure and overall, allowing my body to adapt to healthier lifestyle changes. Herbal medications, Ayurvedic massages and healthy food are all provided in Mitra's comfortable and secure lodging, 30 minutes away from Trivandrum's main city. While the diet and medicines helped me curb my smoking, the massages have eradicated the stiffness in my spine. Dr. Mahesh and his team are doing phenomenal work at Mitra and I thank them for their efforts. Those who are interested in learning how to lead healthier lifestyles may find Mitra Hermitage to be a viable option for the same.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Mitra Hermitage Hospital. We stayed there for three weeks for a Panchakarma cleansing. Everything was better than we could imagine. The whole place is so beautiful and cared for with so much love and devotion - you could see and feel it. The staff including cooks and therapists is highly professional and sensitive to your needs and wishes. The doctors including the trainee are always helpful, positive and caring. The huts at the riverside where we stayed are very appealing. The food is excellent. The rooms are clean and hygienic. Room service is done up to three times a week. Besides I think for a place professional like this one the rates are really fair. Though it was our first experience (so we're not able to compare) we would definitely come here again.

Mitra Hermitage Ayurvedic Hospital is true to the science of Ayurveda. This is my third Panchakarma treatment under the care of Dr Mahesh and his team. Aside from the team being extremely qualified, the treatment offered by everyone is one of love and warmth. My results after a stay here of a few weeks are remarkable. I see how the other patients improve miraculously, too. Each treatment is designed according to one's constitution, usually 2 treatments or more a day, attended by 2 kind therapists at a time, I can't put into words the feeling of wellness I experience. The delicious food is also specifically made for each patient. The rooms and grounds are spotless, Mitra is located next to a river and amongst palms and banana trees, the sounds of birds are constant. The festivals can also be heard which adds to the experience. Most of the time it is so peaceful. Trivandrum center and Kovalam beach are just 15 minutes away, these are just a small sample of the many places you can visit before hand. Once the treatment is completed it is better to return home to continue the process and be in a peaceful environment. I can't wait to get back! I went to Mitra Hermitage for an Ayurvedic massage, and it was a fantastic experience. I have had many types of massage before, but nothing like this. The consultation before identified areas to work on, and my massage practitioner Akeelah was professional, kind, and very attuned to my body. Hours later I feel calm, centered, and I have much more ease of movement in my shoulder, which I had requested focus on for a prior injury. I will be back next time I am in Trivandrum!
