MID PINE HOME STAY - Home Stay in Shillong - East Khasi Hills, India

Had a peaceful time here, calm and vibrant ambience. Good view from some places. Nice to walk around too. Good hospitality. I had several requests - such as getting warm lemon water, etc - they graciously helped me out. Serve a big breakfast too, with an Indian item and an option of having eggs, toast, cereals, milk and a fruit. Location is a little interior. Managed to commute by walk and rapido (though they sometimes struggled to figure out the location) and if I walk down a bit, easily got share taxis to go to polo side. I was in the double room with a friend first and then a single room. The double room is very spacious and has great decor too. If looking for a comfortable homestay, definitely a good option.

Not only good..but BEST Great hospitality, nice location, well maintained property. Breakfast is also very good.

Our stay there was mixed bag! We absolutely loved the room as it was clean and spacious (triple sharing one) with a separate sitting and dining area and three of us could stay together on nice comfortable beds. But the bathroom can improve a lot as there was no ventilation with a broken toilet seat. Breakfast options were also extremely limited and simply not nice. Getting an omlette & toast served which was made before does not do the food or the consumer justice!

Place is located centrally. . Rooms are spacious and clean. Peaceful atmosphere, it is just like staying at home. But food service needs to be improved. Complimentary breakfast should have more options and they definitely require more staff members

We enjoyed our stay at Mid Pine home stay recently. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful people kudos to Marsha, Carl and the team. It's a simple place, clean and well maintained. The location is good. If you need to run to the market, it's hardly 700 meters away (although uphill). All in all great place to be couldn't have asked for anything more. Avani and Gavin

A really nice experience this time at Mid pine Homestay..Large rooms, good ambience, nice location.

It's a beautiful homestay with a lovely garden and nice rooms. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. The view from the dining room is beautiful. Our stay was really nice and relaxing and we enjoyed it thoroughly. There could have been a little variety in the breakfast though. For lunch or dinner you can call up zomato or swiggy as lunch is not available and dinner is available on request. You will have to order by 6:30pm for dinner. Cabs can be called from right in front of the gate as they pass by.

The worst staff and worst property owners .. we left our expensive stuff in the cupboard and asked them to clean the room. When we came back the stuff was missing .. and when we asked them about it they outright denied that they didn't take the stuff. And not even ready to check the cctv footage.. the owner started screaming at me saying he has no solution for this .. when we checked out the room then the maid came running saying that she found the stuff behind the curtain and owner started screaming at us that we put false allegations n started filming us. They were blaming us, although it was pretty clear that they got the stuff out n kept it in the room once we checked out. Really rude and bad behaviour of the owner. Even on call he told me that he will come by 11.30 that to even check cctv we will have to wait ..n when we said we will post on social media they screamed on their staff on the call n that's when the maid got the bottle out.. then even this owner who was not suppossed to come befor 11.30 , came out at 10am n started screaming at us n created a scene... Before when i asked him to come and atleast talk to us about the matter he was not ready to come . They ruined our trip. The worst hotel experience ever.
