It was the resistance of the great writer and social activist Mahasweta Devi, after her death it is turned into a museum to preserve her golden memories. A must visit place for all her admirers and those also who don't know her activities, they should also visit.
It's a very important place for literature lover
A place where you can get more and more information and some unknown facts of her life. Mahasweta Devi has been described as one of the boldest female writers in India. She worked as a journalist and an English professor. She was a Bengali fiction writer, a social activist, a crusader for the tribal communities. 'Jhansir Rani' was her 1st book.Her masterpieces includes 'Draupadi', 'Haazar Churasi Maa', 'Rudali',etc. Mahasweta Devi has won both the Sahitya Akademi and Jnanpith awards for literary excellence.She is also a recipient of the Padma Vibhushan and Padamshri in the year of 1986.

Nice place for weekend visit. We went there couple of weeks ago. Art gallery was well decorated. Wall was decorated by old movies and theater poster. Inside the hall u can see different kind of antique decor items like type writting machine etc.
