Mahasweta Devi has been described as one of the boldest female writers in India. She worked as a journalist and an English professor. She was a Bengali fiction writer, a social activist, a crusader for the tribal communities.
'Jhansir Rani' was her 1st book.Her masterpieces includes 'Draupadi', 'Haazar Churasi Maa', 'Rudali',etc.
Mahasweta Devi has won both the Sahitya Akademi and Jnanpith awards for literary excellence.She is also a recipient of the Padma Vibhushan and Padamshri in the year of 1986.

Nice place for weekend visit. We went there couple of weeks ago. Art gallery was well decorated. Wall was decorated by old movies and theater poster. Inside the hall u can see different kind of antique decor items
like type writting machine etc.
