Mehrauli Archaeological Park Jamali Kamali, Delhi - Featured Reviews (2524)
I had a nice experience at Mehrauli's Archaeological Park Jamali Kamali. Although rather costly, the on-site cafe serves light appetisers and pizzas. However, the stunning view from the park makes it worthwhile. Overall, an excellent destination for history buffs who enjoy a picturesque environment.A lovely setting for a picnic The region is quite large, and you may go for a walk there. There are also several historical structures nearby that you can admire. This is a great place to spend time with family and friends.
I found it one of the most beautiful hidden gems in Delhi. It has such a soothing atmosphere which we rarely find in historical places nowadays. It still has that freshness where you can spend some quality time.
A nice spot for having a picnic the area is really huge you can go for a walk also there are some historical monuments over there which you can enjoy the sight of. One can visit this place with family and friends to spend a nice time .
Its a nice place to see the earliest buildings of the Mughal era in India. The building date back to the 1500s(Humayun's time). It is very pretty to look at but unfortunately the park isn't very maintained. Also couples use this park to make out and be indecent in this park. The deeper you walk in the more people you will find smoking weed or make out in a very explicit manner. Not recommend for families.
what an amazing place to spend timw with our family lots of places to see around as well. i found this place relaxing. check 360 world trip on youtube for detailed video and photos
Nice place for walks, family picnics. Water bodies, fountains, ruins. No tickets needed. Car and two-wheeler parking is available inside the park.
Mehrauli Archaeological Park is an archaeological area spread over 200 acre in Mehrauli, Delhi, adjacent to Qutub Minar World Heritage Site and the Qutb complex. It consists of over 100 historically significant monuments. It is the only area in Delhi known for 1,000 years of continuous occupation, and includes the ruins of Lal Kot built by Tomar Rajputs in 1060 CE, making it the oldest extant fort of Delhi, and architectural relics of subsequent period, rule of Khalji dynasty, Tughlaq dynasty, Lodhi dynasty of Delhi Sultanate, Mughal Empire, and the British Raj
Half of the structures are under construction. Only the gardens are well kept. Baoli is full of dirty water. Directions are confusing and not clearly marked. Balban tomb is closed for public but a makeshift madarasa is operational there. The entry is inconspicuous and the road was muddy due to lack of concrete road and proper drainage. DDA and ASI work is disappointing considering the value of the history that lies here.

One of the historical monuments of Mughal Era situated inside Sundar nursery. The nursery is open till 10 PM every day and the ticket is Rs50 per person. I would recommend going afternoon as the weather and the views are very pleasing and appealing.
Another unexplored part of the Sanjay van Forest. Can get v nice views from here, especially at dawn during sunrise. Sunset would be good too, but after that it gets really dark and would not be safe finding one's way back out of the park.
It is near to the qutub minar..Well maintained tomb and everything is kept cleaned... The tomb of Iltutmish, Qutub Minar Complex, was built in 1235 A.D. It is situated just outside the north-west corner of the Quwwat-ul-Islam near the Qutub Minar. T
