In Meghalaya, purple flowers can be found blooming at this time, adding vibrant colors to the landscape. The state's diverse flora includes various species of flowers, and purple blooms are often a sight to behold. Meghalaya's natural beauty and floral diversity make it a great destination for nature enthusiasts and photography enthusiasts alike.

I never give 1star to anyone. Seems unfair to Meghalaya for 1star, but totally deserves it! Nowhere on meghalaya tourism you'd find a place to write testimonials/review/feedback. It doesn't surprise me coz they know it very well if they did have a space for feedback, only trash would come out of it. Places in Meghalaya are pristine serene and magical. Although people aren't. Except for Shillong and other township, people don't encourage u speaking Hindi nor English. Quiet understandable given state/local language isn't anywhere close to resembling or even share common words with Hindi nor English (I could be wrong but, pls correct me if needed). Many Locals were arrogant and disrespectful when approached for help. I finally found an open minded coffee shop owner who broke the ice for me. In his view (speaks for the state) anyone who looks dark or with Indian facial features are mainly stereotyped as ASSAMEES & BANGLA. and I realized their hatred grows deeper than people tree roots. He then spoke on recent events involving Assamese forest rangers opening fire on megalayans at the border, and so called Harijan movement, outsiders settlement in the city and more, agitates locals and have shut their prospective of human being as a social being and resumed tribal life with a twist of 21st century lifestyle. So coming back to 1star, yes seems unfair just because of someone's personal thoughts and opinion. But considering tourism (involves innocent people visiting your home, providing economic boost shouldn't be harrased by people with so much hatred for any outsiders. Perhaps Tourism should be stopped altogether if you harrase and hate people who visit your home with good intentions. P.s.. I'll still give a 1000 star rating to Mother Nature (if allowed lol) , who welcomes as I am. To Meghalayans - I pray to God, that he would firstly forgive me for this review! And also forgive everyone those mistreat others. We are his children, and that makes you my brother and sister just as our Lord. So love one another and stop hate. Amen!

Meghalaya is also popular for having the maximum amount of unexplored caves and but this one has all those adventures which one wishes to experience.

Extortion via ticket collection at all tourist spots. God made this nature and its beauty for free but these people charge for every little thing at all the view points. Parking, Entry fees for every small place. They charge even for smaller view points within a bigger view point area. Fee Charges could have been kept nominal to accommodate a common man but Meghalaya wants to earn quick and easy money I guess.

Department of Tourism, Government of Meghalaya office located in Nokrek Building, Lachumiere. Requires no appointment, easy to access. If you decide to visit this office for official work one will find difficulty in parking but one can find parking elsewhere and walk or one can be dropped and picked up. However, if you are riding your two wheeler one might get small spaces in the parking areas nearby. This building also houses departments like Sericulture and Weaving, Opposite is the main office of Public Health Engineering, and also nearby offices like Department of Public Information, District Transport Officer, Public Works Department, District Medical and Health Officer, etc.

Very good place. The behaviour is wonderful as well as the price. Have you thought of travelling Cherrapunjee along with Mausham Cave, Seven Sisters Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View with only Rs 350!!! Besides, in the bus Meghalaya Tourism provided a guide Named Vide Negdi, who wonderfully describes each place just before reaching the place and maintains the time schedule strictly with a smile. One can book ticket online or by going there in the office which is there at the opposite of Police Bazar bus stand.... Just go for it
