I've tried a lot of places for ramen. This is it. Now about the taste ,awesome, the broth the spices gives you kick.
The ambience is all anime. Small cafe but amazing chef n owner. Young guy but has excellent skills is his cooking.
These guys are sold out on some dishes. Do call before you go here.
Upon arriving at the cafe, I had high expectations, but it turned out to be quite small . Inside, there were only two tiny tables, and it was uncomfortably hot . However, the anime-themed atmosphere was good . For more comfort, I preferred sitting outside, where there were four tables. It's a better choice when with friends, especially if the indoor vibe isn't exciting.
I tried the veg miso ramen , but it didn't impress me, especially considering its price. My friends loved the non-veg ramen, though. It seems like a hit for non-vegetarians but not so much for us veggies. The cafe should definitely invest in improving the vegetarian options and overall ambiance.
On the bright side, they provide chopsticks in the cutlery set , which adds a fun touch to the dining experience!
Mama's Kitchen Japanese Food Shop in Nagpur provides an affordable option for those seeking a taste of Japan in the city. The restaurant offers a cozy, family-run atmosphere that contributes to its charm, and the service is both friendly and attentive, ensuring a warm welcome.
However, the food at Mama's Kitchen leaves something to be desired. The menu offers a reasonable variety of Japanese dishes, but the execution falls short of delivering an authentic experience. Sushi, while edible, lacks the finesse and flavor balance expected in well-prepared sushi. The tempura, though crispy, lacks the lightness and refinement characteristic of excellent tempura. On the brighter side, the miso soup is flavorful, providing a comforting touch, and the green tea complements the meal well.
The pricing is undoubtedly one of Mama's Kitchen's strong suits, making it an accessible option for those new to Japanese cuisine or looking for a budget-friendly meal. In summary, Mama's Kitchen offers an okayish choice for casual Japanese dining. While it may not offer the most authentic or exceptional culinary experience, the friendly service and affordable prices make it a reasonable option for those seeking an introduction to Japanese cuisine without breaking the bank.
The owner was very helpful and polite and generous
The place is a real ichiraku ramen in real life ...must visit for anime fane
This place has the cutest collection of stickers and slick posters and the anime theme is....it's OP!
Can't wait to visit again
Tried the ramen,it was good, slightly on the higher side (cost wise) for the amount served. Place is quite small, has both outdoor and indoor seating both very limited.Try it for the anime theme
A must visit for all the Anime lovers. We tried veg miso and Hinata shoyu which was delicious.
Anime themed cafe, offering ramen, sandwiches, etc. The taste was overall good. The quantity and quality was good. Slightly on the expensive side as the things were not up to that price range. Rest in all was good.
Loved the ramen, nice taste, good ambience, loved the Anime themed Accessories(Frames, Action figures, made by Illustrator-The_art_monger),Do visit this awesome cafe.
