Pros: 1. Staff behaviour is too good. 2. Neat maintenance and properly cleaned. 3. The place where the property is located(Easy access to all areas). Cons: 1. Room size is very small. No proper room space. 2. AC is very old. I was sweating heavily despite AC running for hours. 3. Parking is limited.
It was a really good stay , the location is also very good ,right beside the beach and in city , everything is near by . Also very safe for women. Rooms are nice and the washroom is clean . The service is very sweet and kind . Must stay! :)
I had an amazing stay at the Malay Residence, with my husband. The room was very clean and compact and had all the necessary amenities, Moreover, it's prime location in the centre of white town was an added advantage for us. The 2 front office staffs were also very courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend Malar Residence to all.

The place is located in the centre of the city and all tourist places are accessible in few metres. The western toilet closet didn't have cover. The closet pipe also in left side. it's uncomfortable to use. And this was not informed before booking room. When enquired about it the response was rude from the reception and asked to vacate with 50% refund. Finally we stayed as we couldn't get rooms at last minute and they refund 500rs from the booking amount.
the room was smaller than expected, but was clean and tidy, facilities were minimal with no cloth hangers bed was normal but the covers and blankets were clean and fresh. We reached early and the care taker Mr.Vikram was very helpful, we got our room by around 10am. He helped us to get a scooter on rent. Also guided us about places to visit, how to reach etc... We had opted for complimentary breakfast, which was not great, infact we could have opted to go for many street joints nearby. The location of hotel is extremely good just a kilometre away from railway station and in a street near to main road but away from traffic, peaceful location with plenty of trees and less than two km from promanade, rock beach, Bharathi park, white town, arulmigu vinayagar temple, Aurobindo ashram, etc...it's all within walkable distance... While on our check out, Mr.Vikram helped us to get a room for freshening up and changing... All together I would say great location, value for money and with Mr.Vikram around, there cannot be a better place to stay
