We randomly found this place while walking and decided to have lunch here and chose the Monday special. It was so good, the portions were perfect. The food was so flavourful and balanced. Totally recommend this if you're bored of having Tibetan food in Mcleodganj!
Old cafe vibes, and rightfully so. Amazing food, just have the special of the day and you're set. Also recommend the Lemon-Curd dessert. Must visit if in Mcleodganj area.
Special of the day is always my choice and their lemon curd is the best ever! Tuesdays and Fridays they have sushi specials. They open at noon...one has to go early to get the best items on menu, specially the desserts of the day.
I didn't expect there is any Japanese food place around the city ...fortunately I found one and what a delicious sushi they have ... I like there bread too ...which is freshly baked in-house Unfortunately I have no pics ...:( I was so busy in eating & enjoying the vibe
Food is good with a lot of Japanese and Chinese literature to books to read. You may find someone having a deep conversation with a monk also. But, the washroom facilities are not good. It would be better if they could improve upon that.
This is the one-stop solution for every Japanese craving you have in McLeodganj. The atmosphere, the large manga cabinet, the unbelievably genuine and nice old couple hosting is all worth the cost effective dishes you have here. The cost of dishes here is surprising if you've wasted a few bucks cafe hunting in McLeodganj. Japanese food is more than raw fishes so do go here and try some new tastes like Okonomiyaki. Don't forget to say "Arigato Gosaimas" while leaving, duh.
I have no clue how Japanese food should taste. This was my first trial with Japanese cuisine & it was pretty decent. Foreigner friends vouch for it so am sure it's quite authentic. You need to have a taste for this cuisine. Though 100% veg, it might taste quite different coz of seaweed. We went with the Tuesday special. The Miso soup was good & so was the Sushi, though frankly it was too different a taste for me to end it. DEFINITELY give this place a try if you have a taste for trying different cuisine. A beaten down place but we liked the vibe. Peaceful, calm & uncle was super nice with his hindi dialect.
AMAZING home-style food. I have already been a few times, and I have loved everything I've tasted so far. A place to keep coming back too.
