Lumino Rainbow - Hotel in Munnar - Idukki, India

Firstly, the hotel does not resemble how it looks like online. It is completely under construction with dust everywhere. Even though we had booked the hotel online, the manager had no knowledge of us coming. The room given to us was two floors down into the basement. Only after giving extra money we were able to get a room on the first floor. We were there people traveling, so every hotel on its booking of three provides an extra bed. They refused for the bed. On asking for a mattress and a blanket they were only able to give us the mattress which was not in a condition to sleep on (see the image).

We had a very poor experience at this place. Firstly we were told that the room was not booked since we didn't pay any advance amount via booking app. Then they told us only one room was left and we can have it if we pay 500 Rs extra. Coming to the room, the bathroom was stinking. TV was not working. The worst part was Parking. We didn't get the parking space and hence was asked to park on the road. And we were asked to move the vehicle from there at like 11 at night. And was yelled at by the neighboring hotels owner for parking there and the staff of this place was just watching us getting yelled.Our sleeps were disturbed . It was a very unpleasant experience.

Worst experience ever i had Staff was unfriendly Pricing was decided way before hand and clearly stated our requirements, but when we got settled down they refused. Parking is an serious issue. Rooms are not at all worth price and not in any way relevant to the pics available as of now.

Actually it is not a hotel it is just an old store rooms, don't ever think it is going to same as in the images. Its not a 3star hotel, it is a zero star hotel. Your heart will break when they show you the rooms and complementary breakfast. Just think when you are being cheated with 4000k for a store room without any window and how your family feels. Best advice for newly married couples dont ever think about this store room hotel soon you will be in trouble with your marriage life in the day one of honey moon. Also the staffs working better change your job to better hotels. Kerala government has to visit these kind of fake hotels to verify the permit and shut down them.

Lumino rainbow located in the prime location and nearby munnar bus station. Staff service is very good and professional. Hot water is available between 7AM to 9AM and 7PM to 9PM in between if needed on request they will provide. Rooms are well maintained. Only for stay in the room this is the best place. Three different categories of rooms are available for affordable price starts from 1300Rs to 2900Rs.

Excellent place to stay, very much affordable. Great staff and maintenance, they're pretty humble and respectful. Also provides help in finding all necessities for touring and guide us through the trip Overall a very satisfying stay, will recommend to everyone whos planning a Munnar Trip.

The hotel is located in a congested road and can hardly accommodate two cars in front of it. Otherwise have to keep it parked in the road. Keep in mind that, even large tourist bus might be going through that small road, so keep your car parked properly. Because just opposite to the hotel, there was parking space (for the other hotel I think), where a large tourist bus parked. In the morning, saw the bus getting out after taking a long time because of the cars parked nearby. They have interconnected rooms (one entrance to the room from out, but there would be two separate rooms inside with two separate beds). We opted for this interconnected family room and they charged Rs. 2500. Keep in mind that, they do not accept CARD payments. But GooglePay is accepted. We came there midnight, so it was calm and peaceful that time and all their customers were in sound sleep. But in the morning, too much noise because of the guys talking in the nearby room. There's no A/C. So even if you find it very cold, you have to rely on the woolen sheet they give. Since we reached there at midnight, there was not hot water in the showers as well. As per their policy, they will provide hot water during 7 to 9 morning & evening only. They did provided 4 bottles of drinking water, 3 small soap and two towels. One of the room has TV (but it doesn't work) and the same room has kettle. But they don't provide tea bags or anything. The rooms seems to be not used for some days now as we felt dusty in it. And when reported to the room boy, he wiped off using a cloth in some places. One of the room's ceiling is damaged and has worn out portions. The side walls seems to be kind of damaged as well. And even the bed looks very old. Our room was located two/three levels beneath. Walking down is a tedious task. If you have elderly people, avoid choosing this hotel. Because they would be exhausted. And the steps were very small and we may fall down if not walked extra carefully. There's no elevator, which is a big negative. The bathroom is modern and I liked the tiles and flooring also. But it has bad smell. They have advertised in some areas that drinking is prohibited. But have seen guys(young customers) coming to the hotel in the morning buying beer bottles, and walked right in front of the manager and owner. And also saw a table with three chairs outside our room (looked more like a goon's place) with beer bottles in that table. So if you are coming with your family, I won't recommend this place unless you are tight on budget. There's a veg (North Indian) restaurant in around 200 meters. So you can walk down to that place to eat something.

It is a worst room and service very very bad.. Pipe leakages and before booking they will tell breakfast is available and charges also included but morning 8.45 breakfast is closed... Don't go this hotel your money is not guarantee
