I had the pleasure of staying at Lotus Comfort in Pondicherry, and it felt like discovering a hidden gem. The rooms are pathetic. Nothing compared to that of a 3 star hotel that they claim themselves to be. The bathroom knobs have no locks. No proper service. Rude staff and not pretty much great experience. The parking is sort of a road side parking with no big comforts. The hotel was good last time but this time it's bad and pathetic and the staff is very very illmannerd
Room r good, service is average but don't mind if you visit the beach then the location is good near by the all beach and arbindo ashrams, white town, and railway station.
This budget hotel is located fairly close to the beach (600 meters or so), so location is pretty good. If you are a person who loves exploring by walks and dont mind walking a few kilometers, there are enough things to see on the Promenade and elsewhere by walk. Also, enough eateries around so eating is not a concern. The hotel staff is courteous and responsive and does not need followups on the requests.
Rooms are average size but the intelligent use of mirrors in the rooms (and across the hotel) makes things appear larger than they are. We booked 2 rooms wherein one was decent but other had many problems. The hotel upon being informed did change the second room.
In terms of amenities and all, there is nothing to talk about except the hotel has parking for 4 cars given that there is no haphazard parking by 2 wheelers.
Overall a decent budget stay as I expected for what I paid.
Worst room in Pondicherry don't even think of booking a room here. The person in the front desk is having too much of attitude and he is very rude. No essentials, no basis things in the room. Room is not cleaned with all dirty water spill on the sides of the room. He is very rude and just focusing on increasing the price of the room.
I'll will not even give 1 Start also so option for zero or Nil. Totally money waste.

The hotel can exactly accomodate 6 parking spots so any car beyond that needs to be parked on road. They are situated close to central spot and the beach so maybe a good location to hop from. Not worth more than a night's stay. Even that is under un avoidable circumstances only.
Very very bad experience .We have booked rooms for 3 night but we check out after 1 night..rude receptionist lady.. arrogant nature of all staff..broken furniture..fan also not working...AC is too much old.. specially a lady at reception she was like a bose of hotel ..I will never recommend this -5 (minus ) star hotel for stay..

We had a great stay at Bay Stays! The room was clean, had a cute design, and was affordable with a fantastic location. Our host, Vignesh was very helpful. However, I do have a concern about the towels we used as they left a white cast on our clothes.
