Trek to the bridge is about 450 mtrs. There is greenery all around. On the way you would find small stalls selling fresh fruits like Guava, Pineapple, and Cherries. (Must try Pineapple there, they are very tasty n juicy). Entry ticket is Rs. 40 per person. The living root bridge is a wonder in itself. I had never seen anything like this before in my life. The river stream flowing below the bridge presents a beautiful view. Must visit if you are travelling to Mawlynnong - Asia's cleanest village. P.S. - please do not litter anywhere.

Have to walk down for around 20 minutes from the car parking. Wonderful natural root bridge over a waterfall line. you have find several local shop here, local people take bath in the waterflow. Local children were busy to fishing. while arriving back upward feeling too much tired because of lack of wind. Afterall the effort is worthy for seeing the natural beauty of Meghalaya.

This bridge to cross the flowing river water within the forest hasn't been constructed or built out of wooden logs or bamboos but rather strangely has been grown out of the roots of the rubber tree species. To reach the bridge, one has to trek around 300 meters from the parking area. The walk can be considered more or less as a very easy hike. There is a nominal entry fee to see the living root bridge. Emphasis on cleanliness and sustainability was visible. Even the dustbins were made of bamboo. Locals sells fruits, tea, water and snacks to the visitors.

It is a single decker living root bridge and is almost two hundred years of age. After parking car, one needs to track down a kilometer to reach the bridge. Climbing up and down stairs could be difficult for seniors. Small shops selling seasonal fruits and handicraft products are along side the road to bridge. There is an entry fee.

One-of-a-kind experience. An entire bridge across a small stream has been formed by the living roots of the local trees. You have to take a few stairs to reach the bridge from the top. The stairs can be slippery in rains, so be careful. The railing beside the stairs, dustbins along the stairs everything are made out of bamboo. Once you cross the bridge you can go down to the riverbank. After you finish visiting the root bridge, you can explore the Riwai village too.

The root bridge is an amazing view point in Mawlynong. The water is very clean and the scenic beauty of the flowing water under the root bridge is just amazing. The overall greenery of the place just gives our eyes a sense of relaxation and composure. There is a 300-350 step descend for the root bridge from the village. The village too is super cute and clean. There are hens, cats, dogs playing around. There are small stalls too for refreshments with packaged food items and also fresh fruits.
