One of the most dreamy place I have ever visited... just so beautiful and mesmerising. It has a entry fee for 30 and camera has extra charge. Where are you go by bus of Meghalaya tourism or private cab both will take you to the same spot eventually where in the left you will have the most clean village in Asia and the right hand side will be the spot now it is not that simple for people who have problems in the knees as it will take around 10 to 15 minutes from the bus port to the main root bridge and stairs are not that short. If you're not a nature freak avoid visiting this place in monsoon. The route would be very dangerous, very slippery and full of risky adventures.

A majestic place in the northeast India to be around. Truly one of the best places I've ever visited. The root bridge was so spectacular to witness. It makes you astonished about how good an artist's mother nature can be. Leaving some photographs of the place that I took during my visit. It was like a dreamy wet weather that day. I enjoyed it a lot.

This single living root bridge in the process of becoming a double living root bridge is conveniently situated near Kudeng Thymmai village. Accessible through a descent via a staircase and a crossing over a small suspension bridge, it requires an additional 20-minute trek to reach. The bridge offers a stunning view of a waterfall, and crossing it leads to the other side of the village, making for a remarkable experience. Consider staying in the village, although there's only one homestay available, it's regarded as the best. Ensure accuracy in your plans by double-checking photos and location, as some online uploads may be incorrect. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to explore and stay in the charming village while relishing the beauty of the evolving living root bridge.

If you go to Meghalaya you should visit here because it is a life time achievement. Amazingly beautiful places while trekking from here one can see beautiful scenery which is usually not possible to see by road or any other means. But It's not possible for everyone only those who can descend 3500 stairs and climb 3500 stairs will go here. It may be possible to get down but the biggest problem will be during the ascent. And from there is no alternative route except walking.

An essential destination within Shillong, this spot requires a two-hour drive from the city. Upon arrival, consider enlisting a village guide, typically charging around Rs 500. The subsequent 40-minute trek through the jungle provides an invigorating experience. The return journey, involving a climb, varies between 50 to 60 minutes, contingent upon individual physical capabilities. For nature enthusiasts, this venture is an absolute must, offering an unparalleled encounter. For an optimized itinerary, combine this outing with a visit to Dawki on the same day. To maximize your time, it's advisable to depart early in the morning, around 7-7:30 am. The entire combined excursion should take approximately 8 hours. Opting for a cab is recommended for convenience and ease of travel.

The living root bridges of Meghalaya are nature's marvels, seamlessly blending human ingenuity with the environment. These remarkable structures are formed by training the roots of the Ficus elastica tree to grow across rivers, creating sturdy, living bridges. The result is a unique fusion of art and sustainability, as these bridges become stronger with time. A trip to Meghalaya's living root bridges is an awe-inspiring adventure into the heart of the forest. It is at few metre form the main road. The place is very refreshing.

One of its kind in whole Northeast. Quite overcrowded, but the 2-5 minute trekking makes sense to get this aesthetic view of hundreds of years old living Road Bridge. I would suggest everyone to visit.
