Les Comptoirs Residency - Hotel in Puducherry - Pondicherry, India

Great location, decent, spacious rooms. There was no cupboard in the room, which is not really a con to me. The building looked like an old traditional Tamil House, which has been upgraded, and it does add to the charm. But they do not provide guests with the standard things that are a norm these days: no toiletries, there is no tea/coffee kit in the rooms either (they did provide us with an electric kettle upon request). I am not sure if paying 3k plus (inclusive of aggregator charges) is justified though. I would give it a 3.5 rating.

If you are using the place only for night stay, it's okay with cleanliness neat bathrooms and good air conditioner. Be prepared to park your car a mile away. Not accessible for aged people as there is no room in ground floor. Quiet Hours should have been from 11Pm

I have been to this place as a couple, first the images provided online are deceptive and you arent going to get anything you see on the web. Second, the owner is the most idiotic person i have ever met. First, there was no basis things were provided like, water, blanket, toiletries even there was no cleaning in the room. Even asking the owner multiple times he just ignored and we had to buy the soap from the shop. He changed our room the next day stating he's having visits with regular customers so we don't have any option but to other room which is again full with fungus on the wall and bad smell all over the room, we paid 5000 rs for 2 days and at this price, we would have been at a better place then this Maron's place.

I don't think you can get a better deal than this for the price. Really lovely architecture on the inside and the outside. All kept really well cleaned. The showers have heating (at least in the room I had) and some of them have small open window balcony's which is amazing in the heat. Staff are sweet and the ambience is peace and quiet. If this place has a free room, I recommend you take it.

Naam bade aur Darshan Chhote. This Hotel is not good, No service , Small rooms , No proper wifi connection. Rate is too high with compare to facilities. Please don't book this , search for nearby options, If you take good hotel in little distance it's ok, You can visit the places easily, Pondicherry is only spreaded in 10 km area. Thanks,

It's amazing! One word and that's amazing. When you go, please choose the room on terrace and Pondi will be worth it. No hotel can be compared with this. Located at the heart and very well connected.

I stayed here with my partner last October during my first visit to Pondicherry and had an amazing experience. The staff was very sweet and welcoming, especially the manager Roshan who was very accommodative and took care of all our requests. We had the rooftop apartment, which is arguably the best room there, we had our own private terrace. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. It seems to be an old Tamil house remodelled into a guest house with all modern amenities, most of the rooms are named after towns in various parts of the country. It's in White Town and everything is within a walking distance unless you're going somewhere out of town. I would love to stay here again!

Before i share my experience of my stay at Les comptoirs, i must mention that i have stayed at hotels in European countries and i was impressed by the standard of quality and hospitality followed there. I stayed at this property for two nights in March 2019. If i were to rate this property out of 5 stars i would give 6, because it exceeded my expectations.
